Oh no, I'm so sorry! It sounds like what happened with my dad, his organs failed but thankfully they sedated him when they intubated him so he didn't have to suffer in pain. After they took the tube out and stopped medicine he just slipped away very quickly. I'm so sorry about your mom *hugs you a million times* ;_;

Yes I definitely have done my research! xD And I continue to research more stuff on dogs/greyhounds, bunnies, bearded dragons and backyard chickens! I'm constantly like "hmmm, how can I google this differently so I get results of websites I haven't already been to 20 times?" xD We're aiming for somewhere where, specifically Florida would be awesome, but as he's studying computer programming he thinks jobs will be more bountiful in California because of Silicon Valley (where all the tech companies are and stuff). We really love Florida though, so nice there!

You definitely deserve that vacation! I hope your daughter starts to feel better soon, it's always awful to have a cold sad

I just hope dogs love me as much as I love them, lol! I've been dreaming about adopting a dog since literally as far back as I remember! I can't wait. Retired racing greyhounds are awesome pets for so many reasons - they are usually very sweet and calm, they have short soft fur that has little to no oil in it so no dog smell, they don't need a lot of exercise - just a couple walks a day and a yard that they can hang out in if they feel like more! Because they're bred for speed and sprinting, they go fast for a minute and sleep most of the rest of the day! Really they are basically the cats of the dog world! People call them "45mph Couch Potatoes" ! I really love them! Despite how big they are, because they sleep most of the time and curl into tiny balls, everyone says they're even awesome apartment dogs!

I really can't wait to add more pets to the family! We don't plan to have kids, so I'll have all my love and attention to give to caring for my furry babies smile I'm definitely most excited about adopting the doggies, but the bunnies are a close second! Unless Coco is gone before I move to the US, I'll be getting my bunbuns first, so either way, I'm quite excited! I just hope Coco lives a long time. I was super devastated after I made that awful impossible decision to let my first cat Leia go. Literally inconsolable. sad But having Coco there helped! I'm glad we have the tiny kitten brat Loki too even though he's a meany to me. lol

I'm glad you kept your kitty, I hate seeing kitties outside in the cold or extreme heat ;-; And yes indoor kitties are definitely much cleaner! I know a lot of people get bit by their own cats or neighbors cats who live outside and people get some NASTY infections from cat bites! Over my lifetime I'm sure I've been bit 100s of times by kitties, we have had a lot of cats in my family lol. A LOT of those bites pierced the skin, and I've never once gotten an infection and I think that's mostly due to the fact all our kitties have been 100% indoors! My baby Coco never even went outside in his life and touched grass until I moved to Sweden. We live in a smaller house here and have a bigger grassed area here so I take him for walks (was first on a harness but I've discovered he mostly just sits in one place grazing on grass so no more harness needed!)

Yesh I have many future plans haha. Sometimes I literally have nothing else to do but fill my time making plans for my future animals and stuff!

I don't think we'll need tooooo much space in the yard, though. Like a decent sized yard should be good. I do want a nice BIG run for the hens, I don't want them to be exposed to predators unless I'm out there watching them and I don't want them cramped up. If I get the hens, I'd make a compost pile in a designated area of their run, chickens LOVE to scratch in compost piles! The dogs and bunnies will live in the house, I might get a play pen so the bunnies can get fresh air on nice days while still being safe.

Ultimately, I would love to have a sort of "catio", as in a patio or secure enclosure outside but attached to the house (and something that looks nice too), where there are plenty of places for cats and the bunnies to explore and they can go on the grass and have some flowers planted in there that the bunnies could gnaw on. Also it would have perches that the kitties could climb up on! But we shall see xD

Everything is still far in the future anyway. I definitely would forego the hens if I can't get a really nice big run for them, I definitely can't free range them in the whole yard because of the greyhounds who hunt by sight and therefore get really excited when small things run in their field of vision, lol. It also depends on where we end up living too though, I probably won't get the backyard chickens if it gets really snowy and cold (because I won't feel like bundling up every day in the winter to feed/water and collect eggs, lol).

If I could have it my way, I'd also get ferrets (I thought about it and considered it heavily for a while, but as ferrets and bunnies are enemies, I would need another room to house the ferrets) . Not to mention ferrets and bunnies can seriously injure each other! At least the dogs I can [hopefully] train to leave the rabbits alone, if not I can separate with a dog gate (I will dedicate one room to be my sitting room where my bunnies will be and my other babies can come in too, if they play nice!). I imagine my cats will be more afraid of rabbits than rabbits would be of them. I won't get the dogs until my older boy, Coco passes away either because by the time we move to the US, even at the earliest he will be like 10 years old already. Loki's personality is different than Coco and I think he'd do fine with a dog once he teaches the dog who is boss!

I'd love to get pet rats too, they are supposed to be really great pets! My older sister had the sweetest white and grey boy rat named Stuart, loved him! I don't want to push it with my fiance though, he already calls my small variety of pets I want in the future a zoo. xD IMO a couple dogs, cats, bunnies, a bearded dragon and backyard chickens isn't THAT many pets! xD I do know already, I will be providing 100% of the care for these pets, so it is probably better I don't go overboard and get many more than what I already have planned!
