You must first upload the picture to some site (metroflog, fotolog, etc). Then you must find the URL (web address) of that picture (for example, www.somesite.com/somepicture.jpg) and you put the code for the picture inside a box of your profile between IMG tags.
It should look like:
[ IMG ]www.somesite.com/somepicture.jpg[ /IMG ] (without the spaces).
