| | Jerk with a heart of gold | |: Cool, collected and generally sarcastic to the world in general, Ichigo can come across as an arrogant punk at his worst, and a rough pillar of good at his best. Blunt, a bit rude and always right to the point, it generally proves difficult to get close to the intimidating young man, though once one finds themself in a position of 'friend', Ichigo is a steadfast, loyal individual who would do anything and everything to keep his friends and family safe, even with a continued punkish air. Honest and genuine, empathetic and easily swayed by another's emotions or resolve, Ichigo is a bit easy to pull to your side if you can get past his very thin moral guard.

The desire to keep his loved ones from harm is the driving force behind most of Kurosaki Ichigo's motives, actions and words, be it from a monster or even a rogue stovetop, the safety and mental well-being of those he cares for will always be his top most priority. His most efficient way of executing his ideals is utilizing his vast strength and fighting prowess to fight back those who would otherwise cause his loved ones harm, though this generally means charging headfirst into battle. He prefers being in the forefront of life, even at detriment to his own body.

Even to those he battles against, Kurosaki Ichigo rarely shows true malice, hatred or even a high amount of resentment. To those who fight against him, he seems to at least try and understand them, respect his opponent and end the confrontation hopefully without too many words crossed. He has even on occasion apologized to the opposing party for ending their battle, and has shown genuine distress due to winning against Ulquiorra after his abilities went berserk, claiming it didn't count because it wasn't him, and he didn't want to win in such a way.
"When you cross blades with someone, you can tell a bit of what they're thinking. I'm not saying you can read their mind or anything, but you can tell what kind of resolve they've got behind that sword."
| | Plans are for DPS | |: While he has shown to be quite clever, with a great comprehensive mind and a highly empathetic nature, Ichigo isn't the best at following plans or making up strategies to win any sort of confrontation. Be it a test of wit or a test of strength, his best method is to generally walk right up to the boss and challenge them directly, and is pretty awful at combination moves or group efforts.
