News: Gaia blocked my video. Losers. >_< It wasn't even inappropriate, just Chobits images set to "The Internet is For Porn". I'm very disappointed in Gaia today.

My name is Shui, which means 'water' in Chinese. However, I am not of Chinese descent at all, I'm Welsh, British, Scottish, and German. See? Not even remotely close to China. I have a strange appreciation for languages, which is why you may find text in different languages scattered all over my journal and stuff.

Aside from other languages, I study music and media arts. My ultimate goal for college is Emerson, but that's aiming a little high and I'm still looking for alternatives. I also sing a lot, and have been told that I am quite good at it. Mostly I focus on media production, and this year I am going to be working with short term internships where I'll be working for Fox News and possibly MSNBC. My dream profession is to be a screen actress, and I feel like I have a pretty solid plan to achieve that. I own a little panasonic camera worth about $400 that I bring with me absolutely everywhere, taping random things to document. Without my school equipment I'm not able to get good audio on my independent work, but I'm working on making my own MM1 sound device and possibly buying a boom. After that, I'm going to have to experiment with lighting. My current project is named the 8th Room, and it's my shot at actually making a good horror movie (good meaning one with a decent plot that may not scare people as they are watching it but probably make others have bad dreams and question my sanity after they see it). If anyone has any questions about media production, feel free to PM me and I'll answer to the best of my ability. I'll say now though that I don't know much about the equipment I use aside from HOW to use it and what type of production I need it for, so technical questions really aren't my strong suit.

I also enjoy writing my own song lyrics which can be found on my deviant art page. All of my media projects can be viewed at the Yume Studios Homepage. I also run a very high-paced text RPG, Nethei, which I would greatly reccomend to anyone who loves text RPGs or fantasy/scifi melds. If you like avatar edits, check out my minishop, My Kiki Kitty, which specializes in Kiki/Coco/Roro/Mochi (Basically any gaian pet) avatar edits. I also do regular avatar edits by request. I also love Final Fantasy and am the captain of a great roleplaying guild for Final Fantasy fans, Final Fantasy Worlds United Roleplaying Guild.

I enjoy watching animes with an involved plot, like Vampire Princess Miyu, Chobits, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Noir, Tenchi Muyo! Ryoohki and others. I'm not a big fan of animes that endlessly repeat themselves episode after episode like Inuyasha, Ranma 1/2, and some others like that. I'm a big fan of shoujo-ai and shounen-ai. For me, any romance story is worth reading/watching. I prefer manga to anime in general.
