I can almost taste the stars that burst
To form the nails you bite

In ways you've never known
But like the weeds grown in the streets
You'll never take me home
The sun is burning in your chest
And warms the moon in me
But our ribs are selfish things
Eclipsed and set to sea
We want to love each other
Without ever being known
But we're too afraid to even speak
And we're never going home
