Well, I guess that's good to know.
But one thing I was thinking about after I had to log off to head to dinner & home was that "pride" probably isn't the best term anyway. It's more like un-ashamedness-and-comfortable-with-who-you-are-ness rather than being proud about something that wouldn't be any big deal whatsoever if it couldn't prevent ya from having some rights.

*snort* Accept I'm one of the androgynous types of dykes, with the short hairstyle and tending to be more comfortable in guy shorts & pants. I think general "female" attire is far too overtly sexual and revealing for my preferences. And not nearly as comfortable. But, I also don't consider myself 100% female anyway, so that's part of all that.

As far as "gay pride" goes, I agree that it's nothing to be proud of in and of itself. I think the one purpose it serves is to prove that we're not going away until we get our rights. ;P That's all. Maybe it can come across as annoying, but ya know. Whatever works.

As a matter of fact, I haven't met any. I've met some activists working to fight against homophobia, discrimination such as anti-gay marriage legislature, and help hate crime legislature be passed.
I have, however, meant plenty of heterosexuals who think gay people can be "fixed" or that they can just "change their mind" about it and are pushy in that sort of sense.
