About
A lone elf is running, shadows making him near invisible. Swathed in black leather, with a black leather mask as well, with two longswords clanking together every so often, and he is afraid. It was well after dark. he had gotten the medicine his friend needed, and was on his way back. Rereading the note, he sighs. He needs to break her out of prison as well. Why don't the gaurds let her out of the castle? In the distance, a loud clanking serves as a notice to all those out in the forest - the gates are closed. Not a good sign, he sprints full-speed towards the castle, in time to see the South gate beginning to rise. He jumps, pulling himself up and sliding down the gate unseen, unheard. He strafes along the Castle wall, keeping to the shadows until he reaches a dismal building - the Prison.Christ, I thought. He sure is taking a long time to get here. Suddenly, she jumps up from her seat, hearing the clanking of the gates, and paces around her bleak cell for what seems like a long time. What have I done? He should have been out of the forest hours ago, and now he is stuck in there with all those creatures! Then, she puts her ear to the large door, and hears a muffled yell, and then hears a bolt being undone on the door. He's here! I thought. Then, I see him being thrown in as well, cut up and bruised. He looks up at me, and smiles. What an idiot.
"Hey, how's it goin'?" He says.
"You are such an idiot! Why would you get thrown in jail as well? How are we supposed to -- Oh." He had taken out the keys, and was unlocking the door.
"If you couldn't fight your way to just get me out of here with your SWORDS how can you get us out without your swords?" I asked.
"Because I didn't use my swords last time. They should be hidden outside the door, along with your weapons!"
"You are such a lifesaver...."
" I know..."
He opens the door, keeping low, and retrieves our weapons. His two swords and longbow, my crossbow, and my scythe. As we sneak out of the jail, and into the streets, we notice a small hole in the castle wall. We enter it, and find it has enough room for both of us to sleep in. We lie down, fixing each other with looks that say, "In the morning."
