Show de bola. Não sei quais linguagens você vai dar na faculdade, mas as 3 top do mercado atualmente são: Java, C# (lê-se: C Sharp) e Ruby (preferencialmente com o framework "On Rails". Preste atenção nas aulas de Framework também, você vai precisar).



Quando você for procurar por livros de programação, existem dois autores que são os mais recomendados: Deitel ou O'Reilly. Eu já peguei os livros deles e achei muuuuito bom. Há também uma coleção de livros para programação que é foda e divertida. A coleção Use a Cabeça. Tem desde o ensinamento básico até o mais complexo. Procure saber na internet. Se comprar qualquer um deles vai valer a pena o investimento.
