Most describe my kind as walking, talking, colorful crocodiles. The Hyv-Tewric are in fact, more related to the mythical Basilisk. We are powerful telepaths, and use this as means of hunting among other things. Long ago, my kind dwelt here on earth, until we were forced into Faerie by the humans. We have lived there ever since. My reasons for being back here are far to complicated to explain at the moment, but as far as I know, I'm the only one here.
Unlike me, my race is often very violent and superstitious, so don't bother to plan to send them any Holiday cards. I no longer ally myself with them. I was scarred with the mark of shame and banished from the clan.
Besides telepathy, we Hyv-Tewrics are swift and strong, and can move almost with complete silence. I'm capable of jumping up to ten feet and landing perfectly, thanks to the balancing power of my tail. However, we can't swim very well. Most of us can't swim at all, so I try to stay away from boats. I myself was a sort of 'doctor' in my clan, while I was there. I am quite good at brewing potions that can do anything from curing curses to turning you blue. I have learned many other things while here.
