The Green Man's Hall
The Green Man is the earliest representation in mythology and art of nature and in particular the forest. In most imagery, he is portrayed as a man with a foliate face, leaves coming out of his mouth, a leafy beard, and a wild mane of leaves instead of hair. In literature, he is frequently described as a manlike tree or a treelike man. The Green Man symbolizes life and regeneration. He is a benevolent figure who has healing powers and uses them to heal people who are hurt physically, mentally, and psychologically.
