Actually, I've heard otherwise. Some people like the movie better because it seems to tie up all the loose strings... but, I agree with you. The novel had a lot more going for it and it all lent itself to the story in the end. There is more depth to the book because of all the inserts and "excerpts." I missed the comic in the movie.

true... but then again, that scene was supposed to signify the change in him because he did in a way go insane. That was the scene where he made the transition from man into Rorschach. It's supposed to show him break down in a way. He becomes Rorschach because he can't handle the cruelty he sees in humanity. I think it made him seem human, neither evil nor good, because he had that emotional break down and went berserk on the guy... But I did like the fire version better, it seemed more fitting to his character. I know there were other differences as well, but the most noticeable to me was the end because at that point it seemed like the director started to impose his own feelings upon the story. It made it so that it was harder for the viewer to interpret it as they will.

Well, what did you think? I was amazed how true they stayed to the book... The only thing they changed was the ending... I'm not sure if I like that change or not... but still, WOW!!!

True... it doesn't mean that I support the confederate point of view, I just like Lee. Anyway, are you going to see the watchmen premiere?

True... Jackson's death was one of the major reasons that the south started to lose. I'm not saying there aren't other reasons, but I remember that things started going wrong with his death.

Is it terrible that I would say that I would want to be Robert E. Lee. He was an amazing man and a brilliant tactician. He's part of the reason why the Civil War lasted so long. Even though their resources were cut off, he managed to pull quite a few wins with what he had. I didn't like Grant because some of the things he did I thought were excessively cruel. Perhaps they were necessary, but it still was cruel.
