I actually prefer cats to dogs, cleaner and also they are funny to watch. Dogs aren't too bright.

I'm afraid not. Demons do possess living humans, but demons can also walk the earth in a physical form of their own (aka, a succubus or incubus like Alruna/Anurla) but vampires are humans who became undead - the same person, only they are now a vampire and considered "undead" as they had to die to become a vampire (no heartbeat for example) but yet can still do things, speak, and think. It IS, however, possible for a higher level vampire to control another person through mesmerization (hypnotism) and control their mind, but only very high level ones.
