Well, hip hop and jazz hip hop aren't necessarily old school, but yeah I love old school stuff too. And yes, yes I do mean Japanese Hip Hop. xD Which artists did you listen to? So far the JHip Hop I listen to are pretty good, with a couple exceptions like Kenty Gross and Zeebra and that whole mess of people.
There's actually a difference, and you can ask any hip hop connoisseur. X3
It's a pretty long explanation, but basically it has to do with the type of message in the music and the beats someone comes up with. But ultimately the whole genre would fall under general Hip Hop, since there's 4 elements.
