Suddenly, Sesshomaru surged up from beneath the cold, dark water of the well. The portal had managed to suck the air from his lungs, so he coughed roughly for a bit. There were a few obstacles in his path. First and foremost, Kirara was plastered to his face, like she had done with Miroku, when he needed to be fished out of the water goddess's lake. Second, all the water was dulling his sense of smell. Ironically, his earlier surge to reach air, landed Kagome a seat on his shoulders. He could feel light pulling on his tail, so he knew by weight that it was Jaken. This only left Rin unaccounted for and naturally, he began to feel for her with his only hand. Much to his shock, he had blindly grasped a handful of Sango's chest. Alarmed, his hand retreated, swiftly. Thankfully, he swiftly located Rin and wrapped her tiny arms around his neck. "I need to borrow your body for a moment." Without further explanation, he managed to guide Sango's legs around his hips. Instantly, this made it clear she was to prevent Rin from falling back into the well. Saving his breath, the Daiyoukai clutched one of the stones making up the well and wall jumped his way to the top, safely getting everyone out of the well.

(I won't spoil too much for you, but I will say one thing. Those trapped in the past will end up in a Bone Eater's Well that is full of water. Just let me handle how they get out. I promise plenty of comedy. mrgreen )

Everything had been proceeding smoothly. Various souls of soldiers were reunited with there units, regardless of which Lord they served in life. There were even travelers that lost their lives due to exposure, bandit attacks, or even demons. Nothing truly joined these people together because they came from all walks of life and class. Thankfully, this mysterious man had just finished ushering what looked to be a sweet old man's soul into the gate.

Unfortunately, Jaken discovered Rin sneaking off to observe. This led to a very unfortunate and unforseen set of circumstances. Overreacting, the imp came out guns blazing from a nearby bush and began spewing flames from his prized staff.

"Aaahhh!!!", Came the alarmed cry, as the powerful being lost his concentration, during the important task of closing the pathway. This bold surge in magical energy caused the gate to explode, but it ripped open a path to the past.

Jaken was the first to go through because of his diminutive stature. Kagome and Sango both joined the imp simultaneously. What came as a shock was the sudden form of Sesshomaru hurdling through the air, also joining their fate. Before anything could be done, this new path slammed shut, as violently as it had appeared.

(He has a younger identical twin as well. The two OCs of mine I would name after the actual characters or change them depending on who I roleplay with. Anyway, it's going to be Jaken's fault his master gets trapped, so have at Rin being a bundle of curiosity. emotion_awesome )

(Images just hate me, so look up Abel Nightroad and click on a picture with his hair down. Just remove the feather wings, make his eyes gold, give him lavish robes, and thin jagged blue stripes on his cheeks in a single set. His eyelids are also red and he has a cape like tail trailing down his back, but it parts into four separate tails halfway up his back.)

(This is the start of it. I don't want it to get too long and I lose my progress because of a crash. Now, I need reactions and maybe a post from Rin to get Jaken to follow her. That would give me an opening to bring in Sesshomaru.)

While Hakkaku was being moved off the poor monk, Koga began to explain. "I've been getting reports of souls filling the air, blood raining from the sky, and some wolf demons even claimed they witnessed corpses crawling out of the ground to attack night robbers that were targeting a village. I don't know what's going on, but something is definitely up. My first thought was Kagura, but this kind of power clearly outclasses her."

Just then, the telltale glow of souls began to shine nearby. Hastily, Koga followed it, prompting the others to follow. They entered a clearing in the Forrest where a dilapidated and forgotten shrine was located. Dancing elegantly and singing with a mysteriously enticing voice was a stranger with flowing silver hair every bit as long as Sesshomaru's. His black clothing was lavish with rich red patterns of spider lilies to match the red under robe and sash. While he sang, the souls formed a ring that opened a large portal. Apparently, he was in the process of guiding the dead to the netherworld.
