The healing/discomfort time on the holes are minimal, so it's not too bad in that sense. Crazy story about your nape! Too bad they didn't last like that. But perhaps in the future you can get silicone implants to mimic the feel.

Suspension? Nu. What you see in the pictures is a flesh pull. It's a bit different. No suspending in mid-air, just pulling. As for an experience, I can direct you to my BME experience at http://www.bmezine.com/ritual/A70627/ritmissg.html . It was a recommended read It describes in entirety what my experience was like. I think you'd enjoy reading it. You say you've never gone too far with mods, yet you have implants?? That's something I want to learn more about the pros and cons of doing. That's pretty intense modding right there. I think me and you could have good talks!
