Matt vi Britannia Report | 04/06/2008 7:35 pm: In the year 2003, Matt Heafy labels the band metalcore. Ember To Inferno and Ascendancy were Metalcore albums. Then in 2006, you can see the band on the cover of Metal Hammer magazine saying "******** Metalcore, We're For Real!" and in it, they say they were never metalcore, all their albums were Thrash and that their latest release The Crusade was. And then later on in the interview they said what got the piss bottles armed. "We're going to be the next Metallica!" But now for the plagerism part. Just about every song on all of their albums is ripped off from other bands, meaning they stole the riffs. Here are the bands; Metallica, Kreator, Carcass, Arch Enemy, Slayer, God Forbid, Pantera, Nevermore, At The Gates, Sum 41 (yes, I am being serious), and a lot more... And the guitar riffing is the only thing. Notice how Heafy's singing style changed from the screaming to what it is now? They say it is because he lost his voice.. Well no! He stole James Hetfield of Metallica's singing style from back in the 80's.
