About

I'm Tannsy and this is my new account. Click here to find out what happened to my old one. (Journal entry is friends only)

User ImageI'm a thirty-something woman from the Ohio River Valley area. I'm a teacher and musician, and a former save to academia so I've studied lots of different things. I love flowers (which is kinda obvious since my username is in reference to tansy, the flower) and my favorite flower of all time are sunflowers. They're tall and majestic, and even in the hardest rain, the darkest night, and the fiercest wind they stand strong and bright. I like to think that's how I am. I'm a long distance runner, and I'm in active recovery from eating disorders (anorexia, orthorexia, exercise bulimia), and am in long term recovery from an opioid addiction. I've been sober since 2009, even through some devastating times, and I'm proud of that. I'm a lupus and psoriatic arthritis warrior. I dreamed for so long to be a mother. Some of the hardest things I've ever had to go through was giving birth to our stillborn son, Joshua Ryan, having an ectopic pregnancy, multiple miscarriages, and a few attempts to adopt fall through. In 2017, we were thrilled to announce that we were expecting our rainbow babies, twin daughters we named Anastasia Rose and Gabrielle Rian. Check out our announcement here. Anya and Brie were born at 27 weeks, weighing 1lb 3oz, and 1lb 4oz respectively. Anya died 60 at days old after battling sepsis. I just want her back. Brie, our surviving twin, is sassy and thriving, and I can't believe this girl spent the first 709 days of her life in the NICU where doctors gave up on her and told us to bring her home to die. In June 2019, we were extremely shocked to learn we were having a baby boy. He was very concerned he may miss out on some turkey or pie, and he was born at 28 weeks, on Thanksgiving 2019. Learn about Brandon here. My pregnancies all ended early because I developed pre-clampsia and HELLP syndrome. And if you're interested, I make regular posts on our family blog. Kind of gives an insight to our family off Gaia. I'm a real person behind the avatar and screen.

I met my husband, James, when I was thirteen. We've been together since August 2003. He was diagnosed with aplastic anemia, and then leukemia in January 2009. In 2013 he got sick again and it was determined he needed a bone marrow transplant. We eloped on November 5, 2013, after being engaged for several years and pushing our wedding back twice. Our spur of the moment wedding was an exact week before he received his bone marrow transplant. Getting married and him getting his transplant gave us hope and a future that at one point we never felt was possible. After transplant, he had major complications, but we were able to move to New York where he was able participate in a clinical trial that saved his life. We finally returned home in 2015, and since then we've done our best adjusting to our new normal. He's a teacher, but also into coaching and serves as athletic director at the school he teaches at. Since then we've renewed our wedding vows, met the t-cell donor who saved his life (and named our little boy after him!), bought a piece of my family's farm, and have built a home. We've got chickens, a couple horses, and I've slowly built our farm to be a place we love. It's a messy, bumpy, stressful life, but I love my family very much. As a woman of faith, these are the moments I prayed and prayed for. If you're curious, James is a Gaian as well. His username is Enfynity. You should totally check him out, he's a pretty cool guy, even if his profile is really outdated! (And by outdated, I mean by 15+ years!)

I made this account primarily for changing avatars and playing zOMG. I stopped changing my main account's avi in 2009 (long story), so I played zOMG to earn gold to buy items. I used to use zOMG as an imaging tool during a stressful part of my life and met some wonderful friends.

Where flowers bloom, so does hope.

Flowers are the only thing God forgot to put a soul into.

Howdy, Tannsi! (I wasn't able to PM you, so I'll reply here.)

I was really sad when I heard that Mavdoc passed away. I broke down crying the entire evening.

We were just talking and hanging out with him during his last Dev Meat before he went on his trip!
The genuinely good ones who bring so much kindness, joy, and light into the world are the ones who end up leaving us too soon.
Losing a friend like this is incredibly hard.

Thank you so much for reaching out and messaging me.
It truly means more than you know.
I’m really glad to hear that you’re doing well.
