About Me!
I am a redhead and I love my hair color, just to start. I have always been a natural redhead and I get it from my grandma on my mom's side and my great grandma on my dad's side. I have tried to temporarily dye it purple once or twice, but it just ended up looking "fake red", lol!I am also a homeschooled gal who loves to work with her hands! I focus my energies and creativity on making affordable, durable and unique jewelry pieces-all items that I do or would want to wear or enjoy giving to friends and relatives.
I began making jewelry 6 years ago after a fellow RV’ing friend showed me a few of the basics. I took right to it and loved making jewelry for myself and friends. Shortly after, I started selling it locally. I have since branched into chainmaille, mixed media, wire wrapping and other wire work and am proud to now have my own shop, favmoongirl.etsy.com to display my own unique and spirited spin on handmade jewelry for tweens and teens and anyone young at heart!
I have studied under several artisans including instructors at the William Holland School of Lapidery Arts and The Craft Alliance of St Louis. I also appear on Jewelry Television as a Featured Expert and my creations have been featured on the cover of The Best of Step by Step Wire Jewelry, 2012.
I have been to Alaska for a month-long hiking trip and work in a family business that I started. I have been to every state but two(Washington and Hawaii) Anything else you would like to know? Just ask!
