A sledge dog is a snow dog (mostly Siberian Husky) that was used to professionelly pull (racing) sledges. biggrin
He worked and thus raced all over the world to win prices and money.. untill his owner dies when he was 12 (the dog).
Mine is main part Siberian Husky + Racing Breed + Trapper/Indian Dogs (and wolf blood also) = Alaskan Huksy type.

Haha, I knew about the rabbit's but nonetheless listed them.. 4am here, I must be tires.
Sledge Dogs are mainly Husky type dogs pulling racing sledges in Alaska, Norway etc.
"Snoopy" pulled a sledge for about 12 years untill unluckily (?) his owner died. sad
He is an "Alaskan Husky" type (Husky + Greyhound + Indian/Trapper Dog + Wolf)
and black with white markings, looking like a wolf with loosely folded ears. I love him!

Oh, to bad. Though I had friends at home who were allergic to rodents (rabbits, guineapigs) but didn't react to my rat-darlings. So there is still hope. You could try it out if you know some pet rat owner. smile

One month or more after my last rat died I adopted an old sledge dog.. a totally different animal, but nonetheless as intelligent and adorable. We still learn much from each other (he was a 100% work dog).
