Oh! It's so annoying when you don't get invited to birthday's. I have this friend, Kym, and she used to be one of my best mates, but we've drifted a little bit, since we went to different schools, but we still keep in touch. When I turned 18, I completely forgot to ask Kym out for my birthday. I felt so bad, that this year I asked her out for my birthday before anyone else. But she didn't have the money for it this time around. It sounds a little like you, when I think about this story. Maybe you should meet for a low-budget get together. Like a picnic or a coffee or something?
Aww! That's so nice of you to volunteer your paid hours for your family. I guess it helps that they give you money for the odd-jobs they have going. They sound like a nice family to have. I hope the freezer wasn't too frozen over. And I'm so happy that you passed this year. *high five* Someone on my course got exactly 70%. I didn't realise he was such a genius before, because that's crazy how well he did. I'm a little envious of his marks, but I'm sure he worked hard for them, all the same.
The recording of music sounds really fun, I bet. My sisters boyf did sound tech at Uni and one of his assignments was to record sounds that you hear in every day situations, and to m3erge them into a song. I never heard his song, but it sounds really fun doing stuff like that.
Enjoy tackling the freezer! razz
xx
You know, where I live, I've found so many jobs by just cycling round town and looking (2 bar staff, 1 waiter and a shop assistant) but every unemployed student I know says the job is too far away or not what they'd enjoy. Which I think is silly, because jobs are rare things these days. People need to man up and get what they can find.
Oh, I have a friend who loves music in that way. Though personally I think it's more the fact that she's ott on how she wants to fill up her iPod. She says when she goes through other peoples iPods and finds that they've got a single song by an artist. She thinks their iPod looks empty. What do you do in a music degree? Do write songs or learn to play instruments or what? I used to play the Piano, but gave up.
You'll do fine, as long as you worked hard for it. Unless you're one of those horribley lucky genius' that doesn't put work in but gets 100% marks back out again. You get your results ut tomorrow! Good luck!! smile
It's because I have a job at home that happened every other weekend, so I needed to go back, or be fired. As it happens, I'm working there part time now; 4 days a week. Which is soooo good, because I wouldn't be able to afford my accomodation for next year otherwise. I can't wait to live there. Four of us have gone for a house near the Uni. It has a back garden and everything! So I'm definitely having a BBQ there at some point. :3
Science isn't for everyone. All of my friends from home are into Drama, Sociology, Counselling, Media and all of the sort of stuff that I was never any good at. Which is cool, because I can pretend to be the brainy one. ^_^ Although in all seriousness, I don't find Physics in any way easy. It's just really interesting. I have to work at it, but it pays off.
Good luck at the 40%! I found out recently I got 55.5% on average this year. I'm in! They asked me if I wanted to do any resits, but I'm happy with what I've got, you know. It's also a little bit because I'm working this summer and won't really have any time for resits. And in all honesty, I was aiming for over 60%. But I'm still so happy with what I've achieved this year.

Yeah I study Physics in the County of Surrey somewhere, but I'm always backing and forwarding between home and Uni, 'cause it's like leading 2 different lives. You have to keep on top of both of them. Nosey is fine. I'm always curious, but I never know when the limit is, so I tend to not even begin nosing. I've gotten in trouble with it before.
Oh, I can't even remember what I posted on the England Thread. But I remember being there. If I'm online at the same time as you we'll have to chat there. :3
What do you study? You in the middle of exams? What grades do you need to pass first year? Good luck with Uni!!
