You enter a small glade only to find a beautiful leather book lying in the fresh grass. Across the front cover says,
"The Tale of the Gift-Giving Fairies"
You open the book to discover a story. You read,
'Once upon a time in the magical land of Gaia, many fairies roamed free. No humans existed at the time, and there was peace.'
'Then one day, Mother Gaia decided to create small beings in her likeness. "I shall call them Gaians," she said with a proud smile on her face.'
'The Gaians formed small groups at first, but as the years passed on, more and more Gaians were created, and different factions were formed.'
'Of these factions were the GeeDee's and the GeeCeeDee's, bitter enemies yet similar in personality. The fairies noticed the bitterness held between them, and felt a need to calm them.'
'Three fairies decided to spread cheer to those of the GeeCeeDee clan by giving gifts. These gifts were given anonymously, and brought much happiness to unsuspecting Gaians.'
'However, the brightness of the fairies gifts did not last long. One Gaian of the GeeCeeDee clan hated the fairies for one reason or another. He berated them, and insulted them until the fairies exiled themselves from the humans.'
'For a long time, the fairies did not return... until recently. In the year 2007 of the Theater Era of Gaia, the fairies returned with a larger number of benefactors.'
'These fairies spread their cheer once more upon the unsuspecting GeeCeeDee, and they were welcomed with open arms. Glad with their success, the fairies revealed themselves to the Gaians and spoke with them for the first time.'
'Will they stay welcome to the GeeCeeDee at last? There---'
A part of this page is torn out. The next page's title reads,
"The Egg Fairy"
'The Egg Fairy has always been an unnoticed fairy among the Gaian fairies. She was always quiet, and stayed behind when her friends left to bestow gifts to the Gaians.'
'It was not that she did not wish to participate, but rather that she had no gift to give. Her friends gave chocolate, flan, art, and even trash! However, she had nothing to give.'
'Animals in the forests of Gaia always told her that she was a wizard with cooking and drawing, but her fellow fairies had already taken every possible food in Gaia, and art was already being done. She felt that she had nothing to provide.'
'Then one day, when she was boiling eggs, an idea hit her. "I can decorate this egg and give them to the Gaians!" She dashed off right away to do so.'
'She was very pleased with her result and proceeded to send her first egg to a member of the GeeCeeDee clan. It was recieved so well that she named herself the Egg Fairy, and continued sending eggs. The End.'
