Slade's expression turned from that of pure rage to complete surprise and a feeling of pride as Chill finished off the Vulture; surprise by the unexpected turn of events and pride for his apprentice finally destroying the very thorn that had been causing her so much pain. Slade looked over at what remained of the Vulture knowing he was no more.

He quickly spun his sword directly in the path of the ice darts creating a shield from the fast and constant motion of the spin breaking all the shards that came at him. Once they were clear he immediately halted spinning his sword and rushed towards the Vulture reaching a close distance between them and then somersaulted right over the villains head landing directly behind him where he delivered a swift kick to the back of the Vultures legs with the intention to knock him off his feet.
