In the beginning...

The Story of Monkey

I was born from an egg on a mountain top!

I ascended to heaven and caused such chaos, I was banished by Buddha to earth in ancient China until I had reached enlightenment.

After 500 years trapped under a mountain, I was freed by the boy priest Tripitaka, and travelled with him, accompanied by Sandy - a Water Monster, and Pigsy - a Pig Spirit, west to India to collect holy scriptures to save mankind.

Did I also mention I can fly on a cloud? And that because I ate the peaches from the garden of Heaven, I am invincible?!

I AM MONKEY! Great Sage, equal of Heaven!
