I am reliable and I get my tasks done on time. It is my personal belief that deadlines should be respected, especially for inner city colored males like myself. There is a stereotype that Hispanics like me can’t get there work done like other because we are lazy and dumb. I don’t pay any attention to these ideologies because in my mind their thoughts are nothing but another mountain for me to go over. My responsibilities are very important because it’s how I present myself as a young adult.
There are many ways that I represent myself one of them is that I show respect and good attitude in this world there is many bad people and rude as well I believe that there is no reason to be disrespectful to someone. It is understandable that an individual might not like another individual but being out of the ordinary to someone is just ignorant. Respect is not an action I show as a scholar or as a person. When I Play sports I show sportsmanship when I play, for example I do not believe in making other players feel bad if I’m having a good game and there not. After every game I go to the other players and give them high fives and tell them good game.
I am strong minded when situation is school there are many temptations and distractions when it comes to getting the work done in school. Many of my friends are disrespectful students and they don’t always make the right choices and they end up getting in trouble. But I don’t let myself be influenced by their bad behavior in school I really feel try my best not be like them but I’m not perfect either.
My parents were born in the Dominican republic but I was born here in Boston I am 15 years old and I have a long trip ahead of me all my life my parents have pushed me to do my best like any other parent would do. My mother never finished high school and my father failed in college after two years but I want to be different I want to be the first person in my family to go to college and finish it and make my family proud in my mind health careers can help me meet that expectation and make it a reality.
As a scholar I can always improve not matter how I do in school there will always be room for improvement in school and in life. I mean I’m only human there is so much I can do. Being one of the leaders here at the Tobin there are always other students watching me specifically the smaller children so as one of the big kids I have to be a role model for younger students in the school I have to do my best so others can do there best and that is another responsibility I must take seriously. Health careers academy is a great opportunity for me because I believe that this school will help me fined new talents that I never knew I had, it will be a great chance to start a knew goal but this goal will not be accomplished until I finish my current goal that is to get in to health careers and be the best I can be.
