They say, in the small town of Barton, that if you go to the abandoned Vetinary Clinic at night you won't come back alive. They say that something lives there, something that is not all human, something that's bite is much, much worse than its bark. Only one man is said to have lived to tell of his sighting of the Vandalizerrr, he tells of a woman, clad all in black and white, with eyes as bright and pale as the full moon and canine ears sitting atop her muzzle face.

"I saw her," he said one night in the pub, his belly full of mead, "she looked right at me I tell, you, looked through me near as like and I thought she was gonna' gut me there and then. She carries a scalpel around, one the Vet's left behind, I felt this shiver come all over me and I thought, 'Better run, George, she'd kill ya' as soon as look at ya.' "

The men around him scoffed, Crazy old George, telling his stories again, they think, nothing to them but bad eye sight and too much mead. But even though none of them dare to acknowledge it, even though they never talk about Old George's encounter without a nervous laugh in their throat; none of them ever dares to go near that place, the place where the Vandalizerrr lives.
