About Skip Beat!

Kyoko has followed her childhood friend, Sho, to Tokyo so that he can join show business as a singer. Once he has, she is betrayed by her "prince charming" and instead of crying her heart out, Kyoko vows to get her revenge. So, the "homey" girl gets a makeover and vows to beat him in show business. Only to be thwarted by the fact that her dealings with Sho have made her lose the feeling of love.

Fortunately for Kyoko, the president of LME seems to be eccentric and is willing to give her a shot through the newly created "Love Me" section. Unfortunately, Ren Tsuruga, the celebrity Sho considers his greatest rival, is also a member of the LME talent agency and seems to dislike Kyoko (and only Kyoko!)

Even with the loss of the ever-important emotion of Love, can Kyoko make it through her trials with her guts?
