General appearance: Vornel has aged brilliantly despite his rocky upbringing. He will never speak of his time in Ulorbbath, though he bears the many scars of a male ruled under the snake-headed whips of Lolthite matrons. His hair is a long, staunch-white, usually loose, though at times he allows his mate to weave it into a more elaborate setting. Vornel wears primarily black, and as per the customs of Vhaeraun, often sports a mask of the same shade.

Background History: Born and raised as a noble in Ulorbbath, Vornel shares nothing of his time serving under Lolth. He has a sister there, though he will never utter her name, having secretly sworn her death. After fleeing to the Starless Sea, it is known that he spent many years alongside Qu'ellar D'Ssindossa, eventually gaining enough status and wealth to garner his own position of power. He currently resides in Au Shinduago, at the behest of The Masked Lord.
Weaponry:
Hand Crossbow: This appears to be a piece of wood with a handle and trigger, like a broken hand crossbow, but on closer look, there is a switch at the end of the wood, just above the handle. When triggered, the bow part of the crossbow unfolds. It is a small and practical weapon, very suitable for long-range attacks with poisoned bolts.
Dagger: An ornamental weapon given as a gift by his consort, a part of the blade is hollow, usually filled with some sort of poison.
Shortsword: Always at his side, this is a simple arm crafted for him by the capable smiths of Starless Sea. He keeps the edges well-sharpened; enough to cut through stacks of parchment.

Battle Discipline: Bautha Z'hin
Faerie fire: A pale glow surrounds and outlines the subjects. Outlined subjects shed light as candles.
Dancing lights: creates up to four will-o-wispesque lights that resemble lanterns or torches.
Darkness: This spell causes an object to radiate shadowy illumination out to a 20-foot radius.
Darkvision: 120 feet
Light Immunity: Exhibits a higher tolerance to the penalties most drow exhibit when exposed to regular sunlight or sunlight spells.
Dark Embrace: Once per day, this spell manifests as a mask of shadow that girds Vornel's face. He then may cast a divine spell, which is absorbed by the mask of shadow; the spell must be a touch spell or a target spell.
Cloak of Shadows: Creates a cloak that is seemingly woven out of mundane shadows.
Phase Door: This spell creates an ethereal passage through wooden, plaster, or stone walls, but not other materials. The phase door is invisible and inaccessible to all creatures except Vornel, and only he can use the passage. He disappears when entering the phase door and appears when exiting. If he desires, one other creature of similar size or smaller may be taken through the door.
Weapon proficiency: Hand crossbow, rapier, short swords, daggers
Weakness: Women and gambling. He's a fair hand in swordplay and a brilliant tactician, but as with most drow he can be beaten at his own game, depending on the opponent.
