About

All I've heard lately around here is that Grand Junction is lame, and how everyone wants to get out. Well I've been in that same situation, but I've grown past it. I've come to realize that it's not where you are, but truly who you're with. Wonderful people surround me day by day, and I have to say that living up here really isn't so bad. For those of you who can't wait to get out, be careful, because home is home, and nostalgia will always follow you where ever you go.

I've been back and forth through these islands for some time now. For eighteen years Ive wondered about aimlessly through the dirt and trees. Its only now that I am beginning to make something out of myself. I've been alone for quite some time, and it has taught me many things in abundance. I plan to keep it that way. I really do miss home, yet at the same time I'm glad at the fact that I am gone. There is so much opportunity up here in the states and I plan to grasp it.

I'm Shawn, a kid from Hawaii. I could say that life has been battle, but of course a battle for the best.

I don't have trust issues. Yes Ive been stripped of pride and trust at times, but everyone deserves a fair chance, even if its just once. Some may say that we who trust easily, get walked all over. Yes I trust, but no, I'm no pushover. I'll kick the s**t outta you if need.

Im not emo. I guess I dress in that style? I don't even know. I used to live on an island where nothing trendy came in. I create my own style, and it just so happens that when I actually get out here, other kids are doing it as well? I don't mind though, hardly anything is original anymore. I have my writing for originality. Thats my contribution. Well that and my music.

Yes I play music. I play guitar, piano, drums, bass, ukulele. I have each of these instruments as well. I had a band, but weve recently broken up. I now do acoustic stuff on my own. I hope to collaborate with mad talent kids to make fuller music again.

These are some things I though you ought to know. Anything else just ask.

Oh yea, I get up at odark hours to go on all day light hour surf sessions.

Peace & God Bless.

ROFL We'd probably find my muse sipping Mai Tai's surrounded by Cabana boys. See, fertile imagination. lol
Poetry I never have a problem with, long as you don;t mind dark and disturbed. =) My step mom once offered to get me help after reading one of my poems. heh heh heh She was a Bible thumping catholic.

I've been through Colorado. lol I have an Uncle who lives Montana.
These days I'm just trying to finish my novel. I have discovered the evils of writer's block. Blah. My muse seems to have gone on vacation, to Tahiti, without me. Wench. =)

LOL Awesome. I haven't been there since I was 6. I still get homesick. You can take the girl out of Hawaii but you can't take Hawaii out of the girl. =)
