it was a fools errand, and now they were back at the truck. he tied Ben to a beam inside the truck's back and left him some food for the trip. when he and the kid entered the vehicle, he said "Buckle up!" and the truck started to move.
The zombies were slow, even they were in numbers. the army truck was left in the other side of the street, and they got a gun, so they were more than safe to get there. even though Ben was growling more than ever towards every zombie he could see.
our hero made a makeshift leash to keep Ben under control, by tying several rags he found in the house. Ben was now under control, but still dangerous. "It's ok now" he said to the kid.
and as the blood of the hand of our hero started to drip from his recent wound, his dog smelled it and started to growl, it has begun. Ben's transformation was starting to make him, once a trusty dog, a beast with nothing but survival instincts.
the place was filled up with trash and laundry, but not like it was looted or something. and in his search, he finds a bed, not neat or clean, but it was used before. and his eyes start to feel heavy.
now it was time: all equiped, with tons of food and a car big enough for not caring about zombies, our hero started driving around the town, or what left of it, to find a nice place to settle down.
