About
I am Drake Patton. Currently I'm 21 years old. January of 2009 I was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure. Even though I am O the doctors could not get a heart before Spring Break. Without a heart and my condition growing worse they implanted the LVAD2 (Left Ventricular Assist Device, 2nd model). This is a heart pump that connects to my two left ventricular heart chambers. Using my heart as a vessel the pump did the job my heart was failing to do.
After all that I suffered 2 strokes that resulted from Blood clots in the brain. The 2nd stroke paralyzed my right side and cause left eye blindness. I had a full recovery though. To add insult to injury my long term girlfriend (4 years to be specific) dumped me while I was in the hospital over the phone. Better yet she started dating my best friend.
To explain my attachment of the LVAD2: The heart pump has a 6 inch by 4 inch control that I wear in front of my waste in a special belt. I also wear a harness that caries my two 4 batteries that connect to the Controller at my waist. The Controller connects to the pump inside me by a wire that leads into my right side. Yes its creepy I have a wire hanging out my body, but its what I got.
Every day I have to do bandage change to clean the site where the Wire goes in. So long as I have the LVAD2 this will be part of my daily regiment. I have to clean this area to prevent infection or fungal growth. I've had 2 infections so far and I will say the pain they caused is unbearable.
This LVAD2 will give me 4 years of life. After that I will recieve a heart transplant. In a total lifetime a person can only have 2 hearts. Each heart (if lucky) lasts 10 years. In total I have 24 years to live. This is not putting to account of earlier transplant or further development of medicines of equipment. I will probably get more years to that total. My goal is to get the Iron Man Heart.

Enough about my heart thing. I don't have a pic of myself but I will say I am a fairly attractive guy. Long beautiful (everyone says that) blond hair, blue eyes, and glasses. I am a lean guy but not skeleton skinny, not anymore. I have interesting in SCA, Anime, talking to people, and oddly enough cooking (result of my new diet). I am a pretty mature fellow and so far I am more mature then most people I know. I don't want to look like I am boasting, but I am.
I am game to talk to anyone. Have no fear I am very easy to approach. I will say I enjoy to company of both men and women. I am not sure if I am bi but I am fine with male playful behavior. I will admit I am a lovey touchy kind of guy. Hugs are the easiest way to my heart.
If you are interesting in chatting send me a pm or something and I will talk.
My puppy is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi (Think Ein from Cowboy Bebop). He is now a year and a half old. He is just like any other corgi pup but he has one problem. He is disqualified from Show because he has an Over Bite. Not like I wanted to show him anyway but having the papers to do it is really worth it. His father and mother are prize winning Corgis. His father is the most BEAUTIFUL corgi I have ever seen, hands down. Due to my dogs overbite I call him Fenrir; which is the 3rd child of Loki in Norse mythology. Fenrir in lore was the eater of Odin and the harbinger of Ragnorok. Oddly enough my Fenrir is a bit of a biter, not in a mean way but he does nibble. He is TOOO Cute! As my closest friends know my goal is to raise a Corgi Army and take over the world with cuteness or a s**t ton of shed hair.
