Does It Matter?
Does it really matter if your clothes aren't from some fancy store?
Does it really matter if you don't have perfect skin, hair, or teeth?
Are you no good because your parents love you and want you to be humble?
Are you no good because you have values and ethics that not many have?
Is it bad that you don't have perfect grades?
Is it bad that you don't have a boyfriend who wants you to give up everything you stand for?
Will you go to hell just for being true to yourself?
Will you go to heaven because you put others put down?
Every human was made to be different.
We have different faces, bodies, hair, eyes, views, and opinions.
If you are different then stand up and shout because you are human!
It doesn't matter where your clothes come from.
It doesn't matter if you don't have perfect skin, hair, or teeth.
You are a better person because your parents love you and want you to be humble.
You are a better person because you have values and ethics others might not have.
It is better you can't make perfect grades because you can't be expected to get it right the first time.
It is better that you don't have a boyfriend that doesn't want you to give up everything you stand for, because it means that he loves you for you.
You won't go to hell for being you.
You won't go to heaven because you put others down.
You are a human being.
Accept your imperfections and let them shine!
Sin
Taking your soul little by little
Eating at your heart
Acting out only to go unnoticed
Rebelling against your Father
Mad at the voice that told you to do this
Etching its way into your head
Appeasing the burning in your stomach
Praying for forgiveness
Accepting your doomed fate in Hell
Repelling against anyone who cares
Taking your soul little by little
A Child's Eyes
Pure and untainted they see everything
Nonjudgmental they look at who you really are
Caring and kind they hold you up
A child's eyes see everything the good, the bad, and the ugly
Scared and pained they see you torment others
Crying they ask why
Shocked and lost they pray for their mothers
A child's eyes can see everything
Unbelieving and tainted they see when you cheat
Judgmental they know when you lie
Hurt and uncaring they disown you
A child's eyes sees everything the good, the bad, and the ugly
Be careful what you let them see
Because a child's eyes are always watching
Tired Eyes
I'm tired. I'm seeing things.
My life flashes before my eyes.
I see all the mistakes I made and all my regrets.
Showing me all the things I'd like to change.
And all the things I wish I hadn't done.
All the names I called my friends.
All the pain I'd inflicted.
I know my life is ending and I said
"I welcome death with open arms."
But looking back at all of my mistakes
I see that I owe a lot of apologies
But my eyes are tired and my life is fading
A nurse walks in and asks if there is anything I need.
I tell her to bring me a pencil and paper.
I've found my way to apologize
And with my last strokes
I tell everyone that I ever loved
Everyone I ever wronged
"I'm sorry."
With those two words I feel satisfied.
So with one final goodbye,
My tires eyes close and I die.
