Don't worry, Canon!-cast members are far from the only options you get to use, thankfully!
You can also introduce other veterans of the War against Voldemort that aren't from the original Potter-world cast, and besides that, the version of the Potter-world in question is in Modernized time-zones, meaning they'd be somewhat more aware of the outside world than their Original Novel!-counterparts, but still not quite aware enough to take the world by storm if they have to do that.
A funny story, not sure if you'd like to hear of it. sweatdrop

All I can tell, is that its possible to freeze or slow down time without Time-Turners in there.

All the Canon!-cast members of the Original Harry Potter septimology are 4-5 years older, pretty much, so don't be surprised if quite a bit if not a lot of things may have changed, alright?
Albeit for the purposes of the R.P, you may have to buy the idea that the British MoM is most likely suspecting that some of the other MoMs are better-prepared to fight another war if another war does break out, and they're talking with a lot of other factions in the group we're running in particular, alright?

Well so far, I was trying to find sharp-witted Potter-world role-players for the group I happen to be running, in case you might be wondering. sweatdrop
Except the sub-group's own Potter-world sub-forums all take place 4-5 years after the War against Harry's 'Dear Beloved' Cousin Voldemort, actually.
