I am a mutant with the ability to charge inanimate objects with unstable kinetic energy! It usually causes the object in question to explosively release its charge on impact, when thrown at a target, or after a controlled time restraint. I’m skilled in card throwing with great accuracy, and in all aspects of thievery. One of my trademark tricks is to hurl playing cards at an opponent, charging each card and turning it into a deadly projectile. I sometimes also carry throwing spikes and knives, with which I charge using my powers and throw them at opponents.
My power provides me with superhuman agility, flexibility, dexterity, speed, reflexes, coordination, and balance, possessing all the physical attributes of a human body naturally evolved for constant motion as a living generator of bio-kinetic energies. This also creates static interference around me at all times making me immune to telepathic probes, and at the peak of my powers, it grew to become a constant ambient bio-kinetic aura around my body which neutralized all other mutant powers that involved direct physical contact upon my person, so for once I was finally actually able to touch Rogue physically. O la la eh-heh-heh!
Sometimes it seems I possess a subtle hypnotic charm. I can compel people to believe what I say is true and to accede to my wishes with a few simple words, though some minds have proven to be immune. To my understanding, I think that in order for my charm to work, the other person has to be unaware of it. I have also theorized that perhaps I can achieve this by bio-kinetically charging the brain matter of my target individual.
Lessee… I customarily wear a suit of highly articulated light body armor and my weapon of choice is a telescopic metal staff, known as a bo! I am extensively trained in martial arts, particularly French kick-boxing or savate, which coupled with my Thieves Guild training and natural mutant abilities, makes me a superhuman combatant. I am an excellent hand-to-hand combatant, utilizing street-fighting techniques and acrobatics.
In my youth, I was able to control all forms of kinetic energy, allowing me to charge all matter within my line of sight by mere thought alone, but my failure to control it caused me to turn to Mister Sinister. Sinister excised the portion of my brain stem that is responsible for my full mutant powers. Later, I returned to Sinister while I was in Victorian England, and had my grey matter surgically re-implanted, restoring my abilities to their full potential until I burnt them out fighting the New Son. However, the jumpstart of my mutation by Sage which restored my powers leaves the possibility that I may someday yet regain the full use of my abilities. At one point I lost my eyesight and soon found myself able to foresee future events using my playing cards. Then if all this isn’t enough Apocalypse turned me into the Horseman Death, I showed the ability to convert inert materials into toxic substances, such as transforming breathable air into poisonous gases and also potentially the ability to ingest diseases and plagues! I disappeared after that…. all a haze… but now I am back to “normal” and currently a member of Sinister's Marauders.
