There really isn't that much to know about me, I'm not all that interesting....honest...
I am
caught red handed
a clown twirling retarded cartwheels
around heads
impersonating an angel
I swear it was the mismatched socks
that gave me away
because I am
too much of a ninja
with my expert skills in the art of
sharpies and card board boxes
to be caught otherwise
I am the apple that masks the truth
entangled in a game of
jump rope and distractions
oh look, a butterfly-
but wait!
turn the spot light back to me
because my alto voice is
hypnotizing
I am brainwashed into my own
line of thinking
no amount of keys or
briberies of ice pops
will get me to unlock
my dissatisfaction
with the rest of the worlds
imagination
because
I am
the average, everyday,
happy, easy going,
thunderstorm cashing into the stars
call me the walking contradiction
with a heart of stone
chiseled into a rose
more fragile than glass
I am
the friend
ready to give up my precious
chicken noodle soup and cheese
just to see a smile
on a bad day
because I will always wave down
glow sticks in hand
the crashing plane
because
I am
that insane chick who likes to think herself
a pyro
a mixture of rock and techno
blaring through headphones
playing with the cheap
plastic lighter
while simultaneously attempting to draw on the sidewalk
in chalk
I can’t seem to find my mechanical pencil.
I am
the bear that took refuge
in sweatshirts
sipping on Tang and Diet Coke
waiting for the
snowflakes to stop falling
or at least stop eating my hair
because my eyes are
going cross eyed with music notes
and the number eight
I’m ready to start my own fight club
stage crew style
but most of all
I am
the words
tattooed to the desks surface
encouraging all to grow
wings
and reach for more
I’ll just watch from the swings
because I have a habit
of freezing under pressure
but don’t mind me
I’m just that Gemini
with seven different personalities
none of them named
in the shadowed darkness of my mind
