Battle of the MindI looked upon your face
Eyes filled with knowledge
Long stories told in just one quick glance
No one can understand
What I see
But that is what is different
I can see things that people don’t even know about themselves
I see parts of people no one would recognize
But that is what I can do
Not many people can tell,
In one glance
A person’s mood
But then I see you,
Eyes filled with thousands of emotions
Thousands of questions running through your mind
Your look puzzles me
I have never seen it before
It is so different from the rest
I have never seen so much sadness,
I have never seen such joy,
In one person
Different emotions,
Emotions that collide
And battle with one another
Yet in such harmony
And compact
In one small place
This place is where good and evil make peace
It is where anger and joy combine
It is where hate and love blend
This sensation that has come over me,
It is completely new
But I can’t even come close to understanding
I just need one peak
One small glance
Inside your mind
Your eyes meet mine
And I am quickly confused
Yet astonished at my lack of knowledge compared to yours
You have a look that makes peace
You have a look that makes war
And that…is what is different about you
