On the Avi thing, it takes time, and practice. I remember back in the day the biggest issues I used to see was people cluttering their Avis with as much as they could, but never realizing a certain grace and elegance to having an avi that is simple, and that less can be more.
There is nothing wrong with taking time to find the right person if you are seeking, and if you are not seeking, it could be either it is not a priority for you as other things are of higher priority, or you may find that you are Asexual/Aromantic. If you are in that last part, it would make a lot more sense why it does not come up, but if your life is overly busy, or you have things balanced just right for now, it may be more trying not to tip the tower of Jenga that is your life over.

As for me being therapeutic to people, well unofficially I do have plenty of experience helping others. Its not that bad of a thing, but it also lead to often having people ghost me when they did not need help, especially if I did.

I rarely feel beautiful IRL, and that goes inside and out. Due to the nature of my physiology, I find myself more and more cautious and concerned about making connections to people because of it. This is with 37 years of experience behind me. Still being kind is something I can offer, and being a healthy person to speak with is never a bad thing. To be fair you returned recently, so seeing mine a few weeks back would not be easy with that. You do with your Avi as you wish to for your own desire of expressions.

I do not think you are old, at least not much older than I am, if you are even older than I.
I have cultivated my avi through years of events and such to try to be cuter than I could ever be IRL. This is my halloween edition, you should have seen how my Avi looked a couple weeks ago.

You are welcome, and thank you as well. Mine is rather on the basic side as well, though that is because I cannot figure out how to get mine set to what I would want(Centralized alignment for instance, or a better background picture.) Still, welcome back to Gaia.
