7•21•2011 // Thanks to all my staff and frequent visitors. Sorry to say, but the upcoming quest item has not been completed because my job has been hectic in real life. So I'm going to start the hiatus now. I am leaving this Saturday and won't be back for three weeks. So ta-ta goodbye for now.

Basically, an adventure minishop is a shop that sells items with parts of a story attached to them. When you buy the first item, your story begins. Every time you buy another item the story continues. In my shop, you also get to make choices that create the story to be specific to you. :]

You can buy items that are irrelevant to the story too. So if the story bit isn't your thing, go ahead and just buy my shnazzy art from there! (See "The Knapsack" section.)

NOTE: You can end your adventure at anytime by not buying any more quest items.

FIRST QUEST ITEM

With your knapsack thrown over your shoulder, you hum as you walk down a dirt road through the gently lit forest. As you pass a sign informing you that the next town is three miles north, you hear the sound of a rustling bush. Turning around, you step to the side of the road and warily approach the direction from which the noise came.

"Hello?" you shout.

Nothing.
You walk to the edge of the underbrush.

"Anyone there?"you call again.
Just then, you see a speck of purple to your left. Pushing the foliage aside, you uncover this magical lamp.

Upon picking it up you hear a faint clinking of something on the inside. You try to open the lid, but it is sealed tight. You will have to break the lamp if you want to reveal the hidden contents.

It is your choice to make.

Will you open the lamp and discover what's hidden inside?
Or will you tuck it into your knapsack in case it is needed?

QUEST ITEMS

What are quest items?
Quest items tell a little of your story. For each item and story segment, there is a choice you have to make. You have to choose whether you want to buy the item as you see it, or take a chance and buy an item that you can't see. As you make decisions, the story of your adventure lengthens. Because the quest items create the story, you cannot buy them more than once. Also, to have your story written well and in order, you can only purchase one item at a time. Wait until the trade is complete and you have received your item before you order another one.

Can we purchase two lamps, one to break and another to keep?
Sorry, each adventurer is only allowed to buy quest items once.

If we keep the lamp, will we get the contents eventually?
Nope, the art is sucked into a vortex. Lost forever. Just kidding, but it won't be accessible to you ever again.

When you get a quest item encounter, should you reply in the thread or by PM?
We don't want other adventurers to get a clue as to what happened with the encounter. So please send your choice privately by PM.

What if I don't want to buy any more quest items. Will my adventure still continue?
Sorry, your adventure will stop when you stop buying quest items. You can pick it up at anytime though!

How will I know when another quest item is available?
I send out updates to all my adventurers when new items are posted. You can request to stop getting updates as well.

KNAPSACK ITEMS

What are knapsack items?
Knapsack items can be bought by anyone even if they don't want to be an adventurer. If you are an adventurer, the items will have a snip-it written about them, but they won't be part of your story.

POSTING THE ART / STORY

Can I put the art in my toybox?
Yes! Go ahead, but please don't post the story or what choice you made to get it. I want the mystery of the unknown items to stay... well, unknown.

Can I create a thread to save my story?
NO! Feel free to save the story in your journal or on your computer, but please don't make a thread. I don't want anyone to be influenced to choose something based on it. The mystery and decision making is the best part of the shop and I wouldn't want it to be spoiled. :]

So here are my rules and such for affiliates...
oo1. Only request to be affiliates if you have a 88x31 banner. I do not except any other sizes.
oo2. I only want to affiliate with nicely organized and well-respected shops. So, if you sell crappy art, don't expect me to accept your affiliates request.
oo3. Please add my banner to your affiliates section before you post your request.
oo4. Post your request in the thread. There is no specific form you have to use.

QUICK INFORMATION

Bumpers (unlimited)
Would bump in the thread using the preformatted bumping code.

OC Artists (1-3 ppl)
Would draw original character CG color bust shots. Characters would have some specific details required by me, but the majority of it would be free lancing unless they request more details.

Item Artists (1-2 ppl)
Would draw Knapsack Items and if they have a good idea, possibly a quest item or two.

Writers (2 ppl)
Would assist me in writing the adventures and possibly write their own pieces for specific items when the time comes.

Deliverers// Waiters (2 ppl)
We are currently not accepting applications in this area until we actually get some Knapsack Items for people to deliver.
