A coming of age story by Studio BONES featuring "surfing" mecha, E7 follows the journey of Renton Thurston and through the trials of his adolescence: developing feelings for a mysterious girl named Eureka, proving himself as a member of Gekkostate, and coming out of the shadow of his heroic father.



No fansub links please, as the series is licensed by Bandai.



And please keep the spoilers to a minimum, or at the very least post them in white for the courtesy of those wishing to stay unspoiled.

I've yet to see a Eureka Seven topic last at all... so I wanted to at least try.

Lessee. My favourite characters are Anemone and Ray Beams... favourite LFO is type theEND. pirate

I'm not sure how the dub is going to be, going off the trailer on the official site... but frankly I think more attention is going to be good for this series.

I havn't seen a full episode, nor have I seen much of it at all. But from what I have seen, it looks pretty good, animation wise, and what I heard about it makes it sound pretty good. Considering that it's from studio BONES (Fullmetal Alchemist) it should be a pretty good anime. I'm really looking forward to it. ^^

I forget who the characters are even if I've already watched over 20 eps of it already, but I like the boy main character, RENTON!, he's awesome. xd

One of the few child main characters I've ever come to like.

He's naivete is hilarious! xd - in a realistic and not so much exagerated way, unlike most anime which tend to blow it up one way or another. rolleyes

I havn't seen a full episode, nor have I seen much of it at all. But from what I have seen, it looks pretty good, animation wise, and what I heard about it makes it sound pretty good. Considering that it's from studio BONES (Fullmetal Alchemist) it should be a pretty good anime. I'm really looking forward to it. ^^


The animation is pretty consistent. And I didn't care for FMA but have enjoyed E7 quite a bit. So I'm not sure BONES ensures its quality, but that's just me. whee

Episode seven is great at showing how naive Renton is. xd It was so bad that I almost did feel sorry for him, but delivering a bowl of ramen? In a crazy sweatsuit? sweatdrop If he believed that was serious, he really was naive...

And then the sweatsuit and pictures from that episode continue to resurface throughout the rest of the series. rofl Pretty funny.

Let's not forget Renton's crazy spasm/dance in Episode 22. whee And it is also the episode where Charles and Ray Beams come into play in a huge way. I loved their interaction with Renton through it was so cute. heart

Charels kind of scared me at first with his massive hairy chest, but after a while I came to like him a lot. Very outgoing and expressive, living life to its fullest.

As for my favourite characters (in no particular order): Dominic, Anemone, Charels and Ray Beams.

Dominic + Map = Pure Fun. Especially with a Thurston tweaked motor vehicle.

Anemone: I have never seen someone so wild and mentally unstable that wasn't overdoing it. Her Dewey love aside (I think that man is a *****, anyway), she is a great character. Too bad she has seen little airtime since the end of the first season.

Charles and Ray Beams: See what I said at the beginning. Cute couple.

They should have a Charles and Ray spin-off. I can identify with them most out of all the characters.

Of course, there's no telling how well a spin off like that would handle.

I haven't seen it yet. When I saw the commercial on Saturday (4/8 ), I became interested in the anime. I'm awaiting the 15th so I can see the first episode.

It's coming on Adult Swim real soon, so I'll be watching it then.

I never saw a whole episode before but I did see this one part where the kid goes crazy and ends up hurling because of that close up of that mutilated arm. Ewww. sad

I remember pointing that out to you. xd E7 is careful about the little things, which is part of why I like it so much. There are probably really obvious character flaws too, but understated things like that make it more real.

I did both, but I don't do them anymore. Couldn't sell them even if I wanted to, since that's very illegal to do here. 3nodding

Haha, I was glad that Matthieu finally told Renton about Eureka's "kids." xd Also interesting that he isn't that much more mentally mature than Renton, but has a little more basic understanding of the world than Renton does.

whee I think at least some SOF OVAs are definitely due. They like to throw the idea that "OMG, Eureka killed lots of people!" at us a lot, but we hardly get any information about the past of the SOF at all other than that.

That scene probably seems odd out of context... but it was an important turning point for Renton. I wonder how they're going to deal with that. The blood for that wasn't too bad in my opinion, but part of a limb? I guess they did show some pretty nasty stuff via Evangelion on adult swim, but I don't know.

I'm sure there will be a little editing on it. Even if it is something like cutting down on the massive bleeding.

Renton (a.k.a. Barfer) seemed a lot like Shinji for a while, especially with the arm scene. Thankfully, though, Renton has a spine, but he is living in his father's shadow.
