Writing Sample: Naomi looked at the clock, it was starting to get dark earlier, winter was coming, and she had never been a fan of the cold. She knew many of the cities urban faye viewed winter as hibernation time, although the goblins were active all year round. "I wonder if my mom didn't cheat on my father with a Urban fae, it would explain alot..." she muttered under her breath. she and her father had alot of strangeness between them, her father had been a die hard athiest, questioning everything, including his first daughters beliefs. When her power awoke at the age of 16, she couldn't turn to her parents for help, her father would have questioned her to death about everything, how did she know it wasn't early on set of scizophrenia, or she was just good with body langauge or something, things she had asked herself time and time again. This unease grew, untill she found the Sliver's gifts book shop, run by then the Gaurdian of the "district" Dan. he had seen her leaking power and empathy readings every where she went, and had taught her how to harness her gifts, and keep them from inverting, as many untrained did.

she looked at the time once more, and head her stomach grumble, she would need to get food, but then she'd have to close shop, having no one else working there besides her. it was too hard to find the right sort of person to take certain shifts in her book store, everyone now going to chain book stores like borders.

Naomi sighed, and pulled out a novel she had bought from herself, even though many fanatsy authors were highly inacurate, naomi didn't sweat it.
