Welcome to Nefai of Faelwen. This is a B/C shop about feline-based pets that are borne from swords. Read on to find out more...

You enter a small cottage in the middle of a forest. You can hear water nearby, and you can smell smoke inside. You see a young woman working on a sword, and a young girl nearby her, watching and sewing some leather, presumably for the sword's hilt.
"Hello?" the young woman asks when she looks up and sees you at her door. You introduce yourself, and she nods. "I'm the Maiden Aesuya. The girl over there is my sister Beria. I assume you're here for a sword, huh? Well, unfortunately, the swords aren't exactly normal. They seem to have animal spirits attached, and the spirits really like the swords. Perhaps if you come back another ti-"
You cut her off, and explain that that's not why you're there. You've come here in search for her enchanted swords.
"Oh, well that's another matter. See, at first, we tried taking care of the spirits once they formed bodies, but we can't handle all of them, especially the playful children. Would you like to take care of some for us? We're really busy you know..."

o1. Read the front page. It hold alot of vital information, and I don't wanna answer the same questions all the time.
o2. Purple, Mels, and ALL staff are awesome, and should be treated as such. Respect, yo.
o3. Don't steal the art. That's a given, and I trust you.
o4. Be nice. Try to avoid the drama, whining, and fighting. Treat others the way you'd like to be treated and all that jazz.
o5. Literacy. Use it. Alex will seriously stab you if you use text talk around her. That means no "u" or "y"'s. Typo's and jokes are fine, and even Alex likes to use teh funneh wurds lulz. So that's fine. Please try to make sure you're using the right "their, they're, there" and "you're, your"'s, and spelling things properly. Find a spell-check if you aren't that good.
o6. This also includes punctuation. Run-on sentences are not appreciated, as they make it very difficult to understand you. Also, it makes Purple frustrated.
o7. Do not beg. You will be graylisted if it's done in excess..
o8. Intelligence is nice. Please try to make sense! You won't have a good time here if we can't understand you
o9. Don't be afraid to ask questions. The staff will be happy to help you.
1o. Follow Gaia ToS. Shouldn't have to say it.
11. Purple and Mels LOVE PMs. So you can PM us anytime <33

Are these pets roleplay or activity required?
Not really. But to breed, you have to show that the parents actually care about each other through RP, and there are lots of bonuses for Roleplayers <3

How can I tell if the line-edits I want for my custom are simple or complex?
Ask the colorist. I know my definition of simple may be different from another colorist's definition. We won't bit <3

How do I get an anthro?
Anthros can be gotten through Roleplay, in which you'll receive a charm from one of the Maidens, which can be used to change them into an anthro, or by an Auction. On occassion, an anthro may be given out to an extremely dedicated thread goer, or one who is very kind. <3

Is there any chance of some sort of battle system for my pet?
Actually, yes. Purple is working on something that will equate to a battle system sometime in the future. Your pets will be allowed to participate and win prizes when it battles.

Will there ever be a secondary species or an angelic/demonic set of lines for the Nefai?
Maaaaaybe. Wait until later in the year, Purple is plotting man, many things.

How do I get one of those familiars?!
There will be games and such where your pet can hunt for them <3 Just be patient, and wait ;D

How do I pronounce these names? D:
Nefai is pronounced "Neff-eye", Faelwen is pronounced "File-wehn", Aesuya is pronounced "Ace-oo-ya", Beria is pronounced "Bear-ee-ah", Vanya is pronounced "Vahn-ya", Ayala is pronounced "Ey-ya-la". Hope that helped xD

What!? I bought a sword and now the child stage has edits? Is it supposed to?
Yes. We did that just to mess with your brain >:3 We will occasionally stick in a pet that has edits into Flat Sales. Be happy if yours came out like that |D

There is a land called Faelwen, where a beautiful maiden lives. She was a sword-maker, like all the females in her family before her. Maiden Aesuya was special though. She had the magic to summon spirits into her swords, where they could then release themselves when their spirit matured.The creatures soon began to explore the land, and after the first batch reached maturity, they began to learn how to make swords themselves. They called themselves Nefai and if the Nefai was special enough, they could take on human-like qualities...

Aesuya was working in her new cottage, 16, young and skilled at her craft, she began on the first sword in her new home. The standard metal was used, and her hammer and anvil weren't unusual. As the sword took shape, she noticed colors blending into the sword that she did not intend to put there.
This new sword was a bright green with brown marks on it, and seemed to glow slightly. She put it aside, and thought nothing of it. The next sword was just as strange, a light blue with black swirls. As she went to put this one aside, she saw the hilts' feathers move violently. Shocked, she dropped the sword, and two spirits manifested itself from the two swords.
They were two children, bright eyed and slightly cat shaped. The swords had dulled slightly, but were still there. The green one grinned and told her; "We are the Nefai, and we thank you for freeing our spirits!" he said. The other one, presumably female, nodded. "Thanks so much, Maiden." she said shyly.
Beria, Aesuya's younger and energetic sister, had witnessed the whole thing and laughed cheerily. "That's so cool!" she said, and proceeded to play with the young Nefai.
Eventually the two Nefai grew up, and decided to leave the Maidens. Thus, began the age of the Nefai.

Sword: Aesuya handed you a sword. She told you to carry it with you, and keep it safe and warm. Its an elegant and well made sword and sometimes the feather moves or it makes strange, metallic screeches and hums. You were told that the sword would stay like this for one week.

Child: The spirit has manifested itself as a Nefai at last. The sword is still there, and the children will carry it around with them, but they do not fight with them. The children are playful, and like to run around the fields near the cottage. They will stay like this for 2 weeks.

Adult- It seems that the creature has grown up, and the sword has grown into the pet. They can use this has a form of defense, but rarely do the Nefai fight with it.. They are now able to breed, and may wander away from the area near the cottage, but if they ever want to breed, they must return to the Maidens.

When Aesuya said they could take on human qualities, you never expected this! It is very rare to get an anthro, but the Maidens have seen it, and say it is possible. They say it takes alot of work though..

Child - Its very hard to get child anthros, as Adult anthros rarely breed them. But there has been talk about these children running around. They are very much like human children, and like to help out.

Adult - These can come from either child anthros, or from doing the special tasks that allow them to become an anthro. They no longer have a sword, as they can defend themselves much better with their new body.

To get an anthro, lots of RP and/or serious dedication to the shop is needed. Or perhaps if you are really lucku and/or kind, your sword/pet will be blessed by the Maidens.... When either Melancholy-chan and/or I think you are deserving, we will place a notice on your journal/thread/or just in thread tell you. Then, you will have a choice to have your pet changed into an anthro, and it will always be there, waiting...
They'll be nekkid, so if you wanna get them clothes then, you can get something from the store for free or nearly so... ^^

This shop follows the Daisy Code for roleplaying. I'm sure most of you know the general RP rules anyway, so I didn't want to repeat them. But if you're not sure, please do click on the daisy and take a look at the rules.

If a Nefai is co-owned The owners need to decide on their own how their pet will be roleplayed. You may choose one person to have full RP rights, or share RP rights if you wish - I don't care either way, and I won't be solving any RP disputes due to co-ownership. That's your responsibility.

Please label your threads appropriately Use {[PRP] for a private roleplay, and name those involved. Use [ORP] for an open roleplay, where anyone can join whenever they want. Use [ASK] for a roleplay where only select others will be allowed to join, and those interested must ask the thread starter.

:: The Nefai and how they act ::

Nefai are social creatures, they enjoy company of others of their kind and generally stick in groups, especially for travel. They are omnivoires, and eat both plants and fruit and small mammals. They do not eat the Ayala, or the Vanya. They are about the size of a large bobcat, about 3-4 feet tall at adulthood.

Ayala-Nefai are deer like creatures that started showing up mysteriously, and was linked to Beria's sewing. They are herd creatures, and are also social. They can speak the same language as the Nefai, so there is no miscommunication. They are omnivoires and only eat plants and such. They are about the same size as the Nefai.

If you have any questions about how to RP your Nefai, ask Purplerosesbeauty or Melancholy-Chan.

:: Ores ::

These are very useful, and you can find them when RPing [Thread OR Guild!] and through games and such. These can be traded with the maidens for things from the shop, or even a custom sword! The maidens need metal ores to make their swords, but don't like leaving the safety of their cottage. In return they'll do things in return for these metal ores.

So, your Nefai are all grown up, and they come to the Maidens and ask for their help to make swords.
Well, to qualify, they must be adults, and you have to show through RP that the two care for each other. You can do this via in-thread RP, or guild RP. So long as we know that they care enough to travel to the cottage and as the maidens for help to make swords.

All non-edited breedings will cost 10k. If it's with edited parents, then it may cost more, even up to 50k. [PM the mule about this]
The owners of the parents can split the payment however they wish.
If any of the parents are Angelic/Demonic, the breeding will cost 20k. Dice rolls will be used to determine what type the children will be.

Dice rolls will be used to determine the number of swords made. You can ask to know how they turn out, as it will be done in the guild, or in the chatterbox if that's not working.

Anthros may breed with a quad, or another anthro. Since they are "making swords" and not actually doing anything, it doesn't affect them.For each anthro in the breeding, you can take out 2k of the price, as anthros don't need as much help to make the swords.

Same gender couples are allowed. For the same reasons as above, but they still must show that they care for each other, by in-thread or guild RP.

It's up to the parents to decide what happens to the swords. They may give them away, keep them, raffle them off or even auction them, as long as both parents agree. But if they sell them, 50% must go to the colorist, unless otherwise stated by the colorist.

There will be 2-4 swords made per litter, but an extra one can be thrown in if the Maidens are in a good mood.

Ayala-Nefai breed in almost the same way. But they CANNOT breed with a regular Nefai. Sorry. Just... doesn't work.
