so i am officially starting my art quest. i've accumulated a bit of money and am finally happy with my avatar. i don't like hoarding it and want to give it away to people who deserve and/or need it. i also really want to help gaian artists. i remember when i still had my tablet, running an art shop was hard and without support it was even harder. i want to try hard to support gaian artists with what money i have and what i can do without money. :3

let's talk about you before we talk about me! what you get is advertisement of your art shop on this page, my avvie art page, and a separate 'suggested artists' link on my siggie, and i will try to work with some people i know to get you free advertisement on various shops (however for this you will need to provide me with a banner code & link, though feel free to anyways). i may also tip you! if you want to be paid give me a price and we can work it out. take a look at my budget below to see if i can afford it. i may not be willing to part with that much gold even if it is in my budget however, unless your art is really worth this gold--and i worked hard for this gold so im less willing to part with it when it comes to people who don't need it.

just take a look at my avatar for reverence. if you need help check out my art collection in my signature. some things to note: she has a little bit of blush in her cheeks (it's hard to see) her hair is curly (some artists miss this for some reason), she is spunky but does not need to grin or laugh or anything. she's not girly. that is rubble she's standing on, she's not that fat. one pose i like is her kissing the birdy she's holding. other pose ideas are her looking threatening, yelling or mad at the bird (who looks grumpy too, maybe his wings folded and looking away), sitting with the bird in a tree, etc. these are just ideas!

this is my oc. she has a long history which i'll talk about below if you're curious, in the last paragraph of this section. adele is a lot of fun to draw, believe me, i've been drawing her for a long time. she has a unique place in my heart for reasons i'll only tell to friends. she has a very vibrant personality and lasting impression and she's really improved over the years which has been wonderful to experience. see the second to last paragraph for her personality.

adele is an albino, please note, with some elements of fantasy. her eyes are red, not pink or grey (which is more realistic). her hair is white (not grey as some like to draw), not bluish (please, any color but blue on her!) and not light blonde (which is what albinos actually have, sort of). she is curvy and short. gold and red are generally her colors, though anything that looks fiery is good. this oc.
her hair is meant to be curly, messy, with many braids in it. used to have her hair dyed red as was customary in her religion, however it's been some time since she last dyed it. you can have it still red if you like (think the color leeloo had in the fifth element) or in various stages of fading. i like it fading to just the tips, whether it's the top or bottom of her hair. if anything, that's what you should shade her hair with. she this is hard to convey through tektek unfortunately and i'm no good at drawing it myself. she can have a flame tattoo on her palm if you choose. in this version of her she is an ex-priestess kinda girl. i'd love it if she were similar to the tektek posted, covered in red and gold, with piercings and little thin chains and jewelry.
**note** at later levels she'll become an elemental savant of fire, then a fire elemental. if you play d&d, you might know what that means. if you want something even more interesting, you can draw her with a powerful gaze and minor fiery cosmetic changes...use your imagination. =)
adele's personality...she's an extremely quiet but vibrant person who very rarely speaks. most think she's mute. when she does speak, it is usually because she has to, or whispered into the ear of her partner. as an oracle of sorts and conjurer (and controller!) of fire, part of her 'job' is acting as her partner's seeress. she is extremely uneducated about the world and still a little brainwashed, and is struggling with the idea that the god she has spent her entire life worshipping and serving may not actually exist...and that she helped in deluding the masses. so, her naturally quietness comes from being both very thoughtful and being confused, struggling with her new reality. you may choose to draw her while she's deluded, after, or during this time when she's still dealing with this. while she's deluded she's a bit of an empty shell personality-wise. kinda boring. once she's thouroughly un-brainwashed, she is still shy but exhibits bursts of her real personality: passionate, happy, a little silly, very youthful and wise in her own way.
as for her history, it's very long. very, very long. short version: adele began a few years ago when i first started roleplaying for reals. it was at a nwn2 roleplaying server called the frontier. she was a completely spontaneous and rather botched creation. i'm not proud of her. she was childish and her concept was not thought out. her personality wasn't consistent. she was basically bipolar and not well roleplayed. i did, however, have fun with her. she had so many adventures: she entered a cult of powerful worshippers of the god of fire, kossuth (she called him kossy, something i'm not proud of). as a demonic bloodline warlock, her god and peers rejected her. she had powerful maternal instincts (and i mean powerful, she adopted a half giant and a mentally challenged man twice her age) and decided to rid herself of her curse so her children wouldn't suffer. so she cut her hand off and sacrificed it to her lord, who only really wanted a finger but was pretty damn pleased. he rid her of her curse and endowed her with sorcery since pretty much everyone wanted his little adele dead. she soon became the most powerful sorceress on the island, and had various other adventures such as beating the (fun story, fairies turned him into a girl, and when she made fun of him she got her face bashed in) most powerful character on the server at a series of challenges, leading a failed rebellion, leading a group of spontaneous casters (bards, sorcies, favored souls, warlocks) that rivaled the wizard's guild, defeating a drow that had killed most of the town's best fighters alone (then having the credit taken by the leader of the wizard guild) and (fun but stupid) not knowing where babies came from. the entire guild had a fun time trying to explain it to her. one mute bard even attempted to explain it to her with handpuppets. oh, the fun. this mute bard was the town manwhore, who later renounced his manwhorish ways when adele decided she wanted to be a mother and turned to him. turns out, he loved her and they soon married, resulting in a few more adventures: her getting kidnapped and tortured while pregnant, traveling to the mainland to meet his parents, becoming a mother, then finally dying along with her twin daughters when her desire to help others resulted in her contracting a deadly sickness that had taken over a nearby town. it was sad. i cried and so did others. =( she then had a less fun but better done trek as other reincarnations...a girl adopted by underground dwelling humanoids turned airship pirate, a star wars daughter of the mafia turned semi-jedi, a warlock again and full on rebel (on my own nwn2 server! that i miss so badly...), and more. most recently she is starting on her journey as an ex-priestess of a god that doesn't exist, having played her role in the delusion of her people.
if you are up to it, i'd love couple art of her and her...uhhh...partner in crime shall we say. he's still in the making (my boyfriend's character changes a bit more each time, mine however generally stays the same) and we haven't got a reference yet. however he's the tall, wise leader of a band of militant heretics. interested? let me know and i'll see if i can get a reference right away.

that's right, if you absolutely don't want to draw anything else I have here, feel free to draw me. there's a pic in my profile if you like. i made a tektek for reference but here's some tips: my hair is curly, shoulder length, reddish brown, one eye is brown and one green, and i'm short and a little chubby. please, please, please, if you draw me, draw me with a collar. can be simple, just a little black collar, with a silver ring on front. it's important to me! also...if you want to, i love love love animals. if you want to, feel free to draw me with anything from...little banty chickens (all black), cats (bengals, one silver tabby, or various fat cats), or a black doggie. or hell, anything for that matter!

if you're interested, the game i'll be starting with adele will join sometime...in the future? hehe. i'll be playing a d&d game with my future commune members (yes, i'm joining a commune) and i'm sure they'd love art of their characters. i'd be willing to pay a little for it though not much...i don't even know anything about their characters yet! i'll be asking for details and creating tekteks. i'd love a group shot of all the characters (no idea how many of us are playing...maybe 5 total?) and will put the information here once i can. i know there will be adele and her partner and possibly another couple in the group but beyond that have no information. stay tuned!
