❧ Welcome to A Princess and Her Knight, the art request thread of Luzianne and Z741, aka LuZee. We've set up this little thread to aid in our quest for awesome avatar art. If you're wondering, the title of the thread comes from a random observation about our avatars at the time while we were sitting around in zOMG hunting flying giftboxes. Hello there! I'm Luzianne, or just Luzi for short.

I'm a junior at a small private college somewhere in Illinois, majoring in Computer Science. I also love music, and play the clarinet in several ensembles on campus.

I spend most of my time online chatting on IRC and lurking the forums here on Gaia. I'm also addicted to zOMG, and can usually be found badge farming or mini-event hunting. I also enjoy lurking the GCD, SF, and the zOMG forum, and occasionally the C&T forum if I'm bored. I also help out by answering questions in the Q&A forum every once and a while, though my real home is the Gaia Guides and Resources subforum. There, I maintain The Complete Evolving Item Calendar, which I'm proud to say is more accurate than Tektek when it comes to predictions ;D

Hallo thar! I'm usually called Z, or Zee, since most people don't bother to remember the numbers. xD

In real life, I'm studying to be a Civil Engineer at California State University, Sacramento - after failing at being a computer engineer instead. crying This makes my 3rd year studying here, and I generally love it here at CSUS. [If you just so happen to go to the same school, I can usually be found in the Fireplace lounge in the second floor of the University Union. >>]

On Gaia, I be an avid zOMG player. That's kinda what I get for being accepted in the zETA program, heh. ^^;; These days I mainly lurk for Mini-Events and cause hell in Shallow Seas for Orbs. If you recognize me, perhaps that's from the days I was a zOMG Forum Regular. That *only* means I posted a lot, so I'm not scary! :<

On the contrary, I'm a pretty nice guy so long as I'm treated accordingly. smile

❧ What we're looking for: We would like the art to have romantic significance - holding hands, a loving embrace, and the like. Both traditional and digital styles are good. Waist-ups and Fullbody are great, Chibi style is alright. Not looking for flobs/post-style art. Color is preferred over B&W, however those will also be accepted if the quality is good enough.

❧ What I'm looking for: I'm open to pretty much any style, traditional or digital. Chibis are ok, though I'd mostly prefer regular style. Anything more than a waist-up is good; I'm not interested in flobs/post-style images. Both colored pieces and high-quality B&W sketches are good.

For L5, the necktie should go over the corset; unfortunately this doesn't work with the way the items layer together ^^;;. If you've got any other questions about items I have equipped, feel free to ask :)

❧ So you, the artist, would like to make some art for us? Good! I'm sure we'll all have a better time of it if the following guidelines are adhered to:

All business will be conducted here in this thread, not in your art shop.

▪

Wait until we officially commission you before you start drawing us. Do not draw first, then demand payment for services we did not request

▪

Don't offer to draw for us if you aren't able to start the piece within a reasonable amount of time. If you have a shop, make sure you have a slot reserved / time to take on our commission.

▪

If you would like us to commission you, just fill out the form below and post it in the thread. We'll try to respond within a day or so, so check back here to see if we accept your offer.

▪

For the samples, please link directly to the pieces. You may provide a gallery link as well, but it is much easier on us to see exactly the style that you are offering instead of having to sort through all of your works.

▪

Don't be offended if we don't accept your offer - it's either out of our price range or not what we're looking for.

▪

Speaking of prices, we don't have a set budget for now, though the most we're willing to spend on one piece at the moment would be about 200k (Unless we really like your samples, then we may go a bit above that)

▪

Once we accept your offer, we'll confirm it with you then send a trade with the amount agreed upon. Once you finish the piece, submit a watermarked version and confirm the trade. If we're satisfied with it, we'll complete the trade and you'll send the final version of the art.
