Lava Critters are custom template-based animal adoptables inspired by those groovy lava lamps. They are made of glass and are filled with glowing goo! These adorable critters are semi-opaque PNGs, which means that they are transparent and will look even more awesome on dark backgrounds. Starting at 2,000 gold, you can customize your very own unique Lava Critter!

21 Nov 2009 - The Lava Critter files have been temporarily (hopefully) lost with my recently-deceased computer, so the shop will be on hiatus until I can get those files back (or painstakingly redraw everything).

11 Nov 2009 - There are three new accessories. You can also now buy gift cards for your friends!

3 Nov 2009 - New fall-themed and Thanksgiving accessories are now available!

28 Oct 2009 - There are two new ears and four new tails to choose from!

24 Oct 2009 - There are a few new eyes & mouths (including some October exclusives), ears, and a new horn!

16 Oct 2009 - I didn't spend much time creating new items this week. Instead, I gave the first page a new look! I hope you like it. smile Weekly items to resume this weekend or next week.

12 Oct 2009 - There is a new charm: initials! You can now choose up to two letters to display on your Lava Critter's collar.

7 Oct 2009 - There is a big overhaul on the ordering process. I've reorganized things so that it'll hopefully be easier to order and determine a price. There are also one new set of ears, a new horn, and a new accessory.

6 Oct 2009 - I've removed the fee for eye colors, as it seemed kinda pointless. XD You can still choose colors for them. You can also now choose colors for the mouth as well!

30 Sept 2009 - You can now choose from three different charms or three exclusive Halloween charms for your Lava Critter's collar (02). For all accessories you are now able to customize them with 5 new patterns. See all the new options here.

I've also updated the adoption form so that it's less cluttered.

29 Sept 2009 - Not enough gold? Then why not adopt one of the Lava Critters freebies?

27 Sept 2009 - Now returning customers can take advantage of special discounts by signing up for a Bonus Card. Click here for more info.

25 Sept 2009 - There are 3 new tails, 3 new ears, and 1 new eye to choose from! Horns have been introduced! Eye color can also now be customized.

A plain Lava Critter starts at 2,000g, and you may add on ears, eyes, tails, and more for an additional fee. Below are our current selections, with more added each week.

To order your very own Lava Critter, follow the steps below. It is recommended that you go through the entire list to ensure that your form gets processed correctly and that your Lava Critter is safe and happy.

WARNING: All orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will be processed on the following Monday.

IMPORTANT for first-time customers!
There is no whole form. Instead, each step of the creation process provides you with a code that you will copy and paste into your comment, filling in the required data. Going through this process will also make it easy to determine how much you will spending on your Lava Critter.

Ensure that each item is on a separate line!

Once you go through all the steps, you should have a completed form ready for posting. Below is an example of the ideal form item in case you get confused.

GOOD

Why is this good?
- The type of ear and color are defined.
- The type and color are clearly separated.
- The price is clearly shown, making it easier to add up the total.

BAD

Why is this bad?
- The numbers are missing their identifying letters ("r" and "c"), so I cannot tell which is which.
- There is no separator, sometimes leading to the misreading of the number.
- Where's the price?! I cannot conveniently calculate the total on the fly without it.

A Lava Critter cannot exist without a body, so give it something that suits it best.

Without eyes, a Lava Critter is unable to enjoy the scenery. There are, of course, Lava Critters who can go without them. Should you choose to grant the gift of sight to your Lava Critter, you may select it from the following types below. Eyes are free.

4. If you approve of the Lava Critter's design, accept the trade. If the Lava Critter requires a redesign, don't accept the trade until you are satisfied. See below for additional fees regarding redesigns.
5. After you've accepted the trade, I will send you the unmarked version of your Lava Critter.

What if I changed my mind and want my Lava Critter's design changed?
I am also willing to make some changes to the Lava Critter's design if you are not happy with it, but only once. If you require more changes to it after the first redesign, it comes at a price of 1,000g per redesign, which will be added to your total Lava Critter bill. This process can only be done before you accept the trade.

Why did you delete my image?
A day after you've confirmed that you received the commission image, I will delete it from my Photobucket to free up space. Please save the image to your own computer and upload it to your own image host account if you want to use it. Feel free to PM me if you've lost the link.

Do the gift cards count toward my Bonus Card total?
When you buy a Gift Card for someone, the purchase is applied to your Bonus Card. If you use a Gift Card to pay for your purchase, it doesn't count, though any extra that you pay in pure gold will.
