(.1.) Send ALL your trades to All Things Winged.
(.2.) Follow the ToS. Redundant but necessary.
(.3.) Don't steal art. You know it's bad, plus you'll get blacklisted and reported.
(.4.) This shop is run by real people, just like any other shop is. If you treat us badly we have the right to refuse service. So play nice.
(.5.) Begging is not allowed. Although we do so love the fact that you want one of our birds, it's annoying and rude.
(.6.) You may direct-link to your cert ONLY. Host all the art you're keeping and your certs (once they've grown to stage three) on your own server.
(.7.) The rules are subject to change at any time.
(.8.) Once you buy a bird, it's yours. That means you can show it off in your sig, roleplay it, and name it. The only offenses that will lead to the repossession of your birds is that of stealing the shop's art OR editing your bird so that it looks like it has more markings/items/etc. You may edit your bird only to put in your signature or other graphic so long as you credit All Things Winged.

(.roleplay rules.)

(.1.) Roleplay is not required. But participating in roleplays will gain you not only brownie points but exclusive-to-roleplayers content.
(.2.) These birds are capable of speech and higher thinking once they're all grown up. But yours don't have to be, if you prefer it that way.
(.3.) When roleplaying lovey-doveyness, keep it PG-13.
(.4.) Anyone in Gaia can appear in roleplays, because our continent is only separated from Gaia by an ocean. So you avatar can appear, and your OCs can appear, and whomever else you can think of. But the shop is birds first, so make sure to keep your pets involved.
(.5.) IC does NOT equal OOC. So if you're mad at someone, leave it out of the roleplay. And if someone's fighting against you in the roleplay, don't assume they're out to get you. Their character might be.

(.buying rules.)

(.1.) First come, first serve.
(.2.) No drama. It's not the end of the world if the pet/egg you wanted is taken.
(.3.) Flatsale/etc. posts should be in this thread. Don't PM anyone your forms. At all.
(.4.) You can buy two pets per flatsale. No more.
(.5.) Don't pressure anyone into not trying for the bird they want. It's a graylistable offense.

____"You want to hear this story?" Adopt524 chuckles. "Well, alright, but you were the one who asked.
____"It was a nice, clear day. Actually, I had been taking a walk around Barton Town. Suddenly, an Angel Imp descended--out of nowhere--into the middle of the street. She looked like she'd just been thrown out of heaven, or an airplane, or something. Heck, for all I knew, she could've been tossed down by one of those OMGWTFs. Those things are nasty. Anyways, she cupped something fuzzy in her hands, and she looked crazy worried. So I went and asked her if she needed any help.
____"'Yeah,' she said, opening her hands to reveal a fluffy but innocent-looking baby bird. 'Do you think you could help me find somewhere to help this chick? I think it's broken a wing.'
____"Of course, I (as an avid lover of all things winged) immediately said I would help. I had--I still have--a friend who knew a little bit of healing magic. This was Garbagekeeper. She agreed to helping the little bird.
____"After the bird was healed, we introduced ourselves. I learned that the Imp's name was Aderyn. Turns out, she'd been traveling the world to see more of it wonder. I didn't blame her one bit--Gaia itself was and still is way too crowded and developed. Plus, there isn't much natural beauty left to admire. She'd found the bird floating on some seaweed about a hundred or so miles north of the Port of Gambino, and apparently it had drifted down from the continent above. Long trip for such a small bird.
____"Aderyn, showing me and Garbagekeeper her true character for the first time, childishly suggested that we--"

____"I'm not childish!" Aderyn protests. "You guys just aren't whimsical!"

____"Right. Whatever you say." Adopt rolls her eyes. "Where was I? Oh, right. So she whimsically suggested that we all move up to Ferrigun with her. She said she was going to move there anyway, and it would be the perfect place to raise the bird.
____"Somehow, all three of us ended up there. When we did release the bird, it came back every year to nest at our house. And it left the eggs.
____"That's how All Things Winged got started--after a year or two, we decided we may as well help the birds find loving forever homes, since they kept coming back. Scarcely any of the chicks from that first bird's eggs ever left the house of heir own volition. I never figured out why they liked the place so much, but I like to think they liked us too much to leave.
____"Anyways. That's how this crazy shop began. All Things Winged..." Adopt shook her head ruefully. "I guess we have to take in any animal with wings, huh? Sure hope no lunatic griffins bring their eggs in."

(.Aderyn.)
The lovely and wonderful Angel Imp. She works mainly as a caretaker to the birds, providing them with companionship, breaking up fights, and the like. She was the one who found that first bird and also the one who instigated the move out of the Gaia mainland. On a side note, she is a rather happy-go-lucky magician with a penchant for making innocuous charms and spells go horribly wrong.

A happy (and never quite good enough) artist, Adopt524 finds herself in charge of much of the shopkeeping and bird-cleaning-up-after duties. In her spare time she likes to explore and draw. Adopt was the one who thought to set up a shop, since it had become quite clear they couldn't take care of all the birds.

All Things Winged's resident magician, she's in charge of defense. That is to say, keeping all the birds safe from the resident Animated of the continent. She does her job quite well, and, like Adopt, is a talented artist. She also ends up cleaning up after Aderyn's experiments, usually because it'd cost Adopt way too much to actually go and hire someone to clean up after the imp.

(.first stage.) The egg. Keep this little buddy close and warm. Will grow up in one week (five days if the parent bird(s) are roleplaying and taking care of the egg). Basically cannot do anything but get cold, hot, and shake a bit.

(.second stage.) The baby. Always hungry and usually quite fluffy. Will grow up in two weeks (ten days if parent(s) are roleplaying and taking care of the child). Can't leave the nest, if it has one. Cannot be bred. Cannot speak. May begin thinking on a level other than "I want food!"

(.third stage.) The adult. Can leave the nest, stay with the parents, whatever it wants. Can be bred. Can think on a higher level, may be able to talk. Is capable of thinking for itself and others and is now officially responsible for its own actions. If it is a flying species, it can fly now.

The Kee is a tough little bird who was the apparent first inhabitant of the continent. All of the birds on the island are very closely related, and their original ancestor seems to be these little fluffballs.

Are breedings open? Yep.


Your two birds are in love. They're happy and all, but their lives are missing something. What is it? Kids, of course! But just because they want kids doesn't mean they can have them--why, if that happened, there'd be birds out the eyeballs! So here are the breeding rules at ATW:

(.breeding rules rules.)

(.1.) Send ALL your trades to All Things Winged.
(.2.) A single-owner breeding costs 10,000k. That's because it takes the artists longer to create birds who have parents.
(.3.) Most birds lay two to three eggs. You get to keep or sell one egg out of every breeding, and the other eggs are sold in flatsales.
(.4.) If you want to do a double-owner breeding, it costs 20,000k, but both owners get an egg.
(.5.) Only adult pets that haven't bred in two weeks may breed.
(.6.) Sorry, but only female and male pairs may breed in this shop. But for those who want children otherwise, we do have nifty Male and Female Potions available.
(.7.) Laying eggs takes time! And so does drawing the art! So please, be patient.
(.8.) Breeding is subject to artist availability. We do have lives of our own.
(.9.) To sell an egg from a breeding, you must say that you plan on selling the egg prior to buying it. Basically, you just say so in the form we'll give you. You can sell your egg for however much you want, but you must tell us who you sold it to before the egg can be certed.

A few notes before you breed or buy an egg:
(.1.) No offspring will receive custom or colored lines.
(.2.) The gender and species of the birds are randomly determined.
(.3.) Coloration and patterns are determined solely by the artists.
(.4.) If you are scammed out of an egg or out of a payment for an egg, contact ATW as well as the nearest Omni-mod.

(.one.) When Breedings are open, fill out this form and post it in this thread. If you are doing a double-owner breeding, BOTH owners must fill out and post this form. Do not edit your post after this. At all.

Yet another of Aderyn's accidents. This little sticky note of a paper can incite a spell that will allow your pet to grow to the next stage instantaneously. It's also the hardest for Aderyn to recreate, so that's why it is so expensive.

Yet another of Aderyn's accidents. This little sticky note of a paper can incite a spell that will force your pet to stay the same age forevermore. Note: A Fast Forward Spell must be bought and used to re-start the growth process.

Companions for our pets are neither permanent nor necessary. Many birds find that living a whole life without a companion is more than fufilling. But for those pets who find themselves in need of a little extra cuddle, companions are perfect. They don't have to be roleplayed, but they can be. Companions cannot talk, but they are more than equipped to get their message across. Aderyn even says she's seen a few of them playing poker... but that's just Aderyn. Right?

I wish it could be different, but if I had the funds, I assure you it would be. But I don't have the funds, so art it is.
