Psyche was already fast asleep when the messenger came pounding at her door. Sleepily she untwisted her sleeping cobra from about her body and went to answer the door. with sleep heavy eyes she looked out to find a man drenched in sweat and rain standing at her bed room door.
"yes?" she asked even then in her sleepy state she got a bad feeling about him to say the least.
he removed his hat and came in "Im afraid that some thing has happened to your betrothed aiden -" he said but for some reason it looked as if he was suppressing a grin.
"is he hurt?" she asked placing a hand to her lips in shock
"he hasn't got long." said the messenger "you should go to him at once." he suggested
"of course i will." she said "leave so i may dress." she said. he left and she dressed wrapping a cloak about her shoulders as she rushed down the stairs the messenger was no ware to be found she foud that odd as well but ignored it. he horse was saddled and ready apparently he had been nice enugh to tell the staff that time was of the essence and not to bother with formalities.
she jumped into the saddle even though she hated riding and horses in general.
she arrived at the manner in no time and rushed in side no one seemed to be home she rushed up the stairs toward the light and into aidens room.Closing the door behind her with a gentle click
"Aiden are you alright" she asked stepping toward the bed removing her cloak.

he watched from the shadows as psyche the eldest daughter of the Masimi fell into the trap quite nicely. he locked the door quietly behind her once she had closed it with a smile. then went down the stairs and out into the woods to meet his comrades.
"we may have failed at first but now we shall seceded." he said pulling back his hood h was the the owner of a rival family.
"when they find that girls drained corps in the morning the family shall be ruined. they be chased from here like the monsters they are." he sneered
"but sir what about Psyche?" asked one of his men
"think of her as a sacrificial lamb for the better of us all." he said "besides she went much to willingly to the monsters bed side once i delivered the message of his little accident for my tastes. i wouldn't want her now if she did survive besides the girls family has many sister for me to chose from." he said with a wolfish grin.
with that thy mounted up and rode off into the night to wait for the new of poor psyches murder.
