General Rules
• Please follow the Gaia TOS.
• Avoid chatspeak as much as possible.

• The artwork is off limits (editing, claiming, etc) unless I've specifically given you permission to use it.
• Co-owning is allowed between two people only for RP-required turtles and not otherwise.
• Turtles are not RP-required unless stated otherwise (i.e. auction/raffle turtles, breeding, quests).
• Turtles are not refundable; There're no exceptions
• Each turtle will automatically have its own journal, although whether or not you use it is up to you.
• Turtles are not free unless they are offered as such (i.e. dice roll, contest) but even then you will have to pay for the turtle's cert.
• Do not quote the front pages, even if it is to clarify a rule or instruction.
• If you are new to b/c pets, please, PLEASE read the front page of this thread in its entirety: A Newbie's Guide to the BCP Forum
• When role playing, please follow the Daisy Code

Flatsale Rules
• One egg per person per flatsale.
• You may either claim an egg and then post the form IMMEDIATELY AFTERWARDS, or just post the form in order to claim the said egg.
• You may claim an egg for someone else, but in doing so, you lose the chance to claim an egg for yourself.
• Trades MUST be sent within 24 hours after the egg has been claimed. No trade, no egg.
• Posts MUST NOT be edited. If the egg you want has already been claimed, simply claim another using a NEW post.
• Forms posted before I specifically say the flatsale has begun will be ignored, and the person who posted it will not be allowed to participate in said flatsale

Auction Rules
• Only bid with funds that you already have
• You may not retract bids no matter the reason
• You may bid with EIs & MIs & other rare items, but please ASK beforehand. Any accepted items will be priced at lowest Marketplace value
• To prevent people from bidding in the last fifteen minutes of any auction, the the time in which the auction ends will be RANDOM, although the day will probably remain constant.
• If there are multiple auctions during a single event, you are allowed only to bid on ONE and no more.

Quests are essentially RP prompts that you will answer in your turtles'
journal. For each complete quest, you will receive a badge and a special
item available only through said quest. After completing a quest, please
specify which color you want your item to be. You will most likely be given
a choice between two to four colors.

Because the turtles here are not identified by gender, any two turtles may
breed. However, turtles are known to mate for life, which means one turtle
will only breed with one other turtle. Choosing a mate is a serious matter, so
once chosen, mates cannot be changed. In this shop, though, turtles may
also breed with close friends.

Role playing is required for two turtles to breed, and there are few if any
exceptions. The minimum necessary for breeding is a total of 16 inches of
FULL TEXT on Microsoft Word (1 inch margins, 11 pt. font, Times New Roman)
from EACH USER. This is approximately a 6-8 page role play on Gaia if
the entries are one to two paragraphs long.

To make this easier on everyone, breeding will be FREE OF CHARGE. So
all you need to worry about is role playing those turtles!

Another requirement for breeding is age. Both turtles must be adults,
although the role play(s) between them could have started when they
were hatchlings.

Each breeding will result in approximately two to five eggs. These eggs may
be (a) given away (b) split between the owners of the parents or (c) "sold" via
dice roll.
