✘ I n t r o d u c t i o n ✘____________________________________________________________________

What do you get when you combine a couple of friends with too much time on their hands,
a certain lust for blood and art, and a few wallets bursting with gold?
An art contest, of course!

Meet the hosts of this grand bloodbath,
broken_angel and x_BloodLusttt,
who have graciously opened up the gates into their respective worlds.

Do not tread through these gates lightly, however;
the worlds beyond are full of creatures with dark desires,
from power-hungry monarchs, to blood-thirsty vampires, to all-knowing deities,
all with a particular appetite for human suffering,
and guarding these precarious gates are two angels, stained with the blood of the fallen,
waiting patiently for their next victim.

*All WIPs are due by the June 30th deadline;
Finalized entries must be submitted by July 10th.

This period of time may be extended if necessary.

1. Follow Gaia's Terms of Service.
2. Do NOT quote the first or second pages!
3. No page stretching.
4. Please try to limit quoting to five posts or less.
5. No harassing the creators of this thread.
If you don't like our stories or characters, just leave.

7. Absolutely NO begging.
8. Do NOT enter art that is not your own.

What am I supposed to draw?
For this contest, we're looking for art of our original characters.
This means that the subject must be one or more of the characters listed on Page 2 of this thread.

How many entries can I submit?
As many as you would like!

Can I win more than one category?
A single piece cannot win more than one category, but an artist can.

What types of media are you looking for?
Being the art whores that we are, we love all art.
However, for this contest, we would prefer mostly CG and traditional mediums.

Is chibi style okay?
Chibis are acceptable, but not necessarily preferred.
Due to the dark nature of the contest, we're not exactly going for "cute." ^^;

Can I submit avatar edits and/or dolls?
We're not really looking for avatar edits or dolls of our characters for this contest, but we're always looking for these and would love to commission you.
Just talk to either of us if this is something you would like to do.

Can any character be in the same picture as any other character?
There are two very separate stories here that should, in most cases, remain that way. The two different sets of characters are visibly marked.
If you would like to do a cross-over picture with our characters, please consult us first.

Is it okay to draw the characters that are sometimes linked in the "Love Interest" section?
These characters are merely linked because while we do want art of them, we only want them
drawn in a couple picture with the main character. The characters with the big headers should be the focus of this contest.

What are you looking for as far as "Non-Canon Pairings"?
Each host has their own favorite what-if pairings for their stories.
For broken_angel: I'm open to just about any. xD
Tell me what you have in mind and we'll discuss the details.
For x_BloodLusttt: Nickolai x Bradford specifically,
but pretty much any BL couples would be loved.

Can I come up with new outfits for them?
Most definitely! The Outfits and Hairstyles reference in each post can be used as a guideline for the kind of style the character has,
but feel free to create your own outfits for them.

Is it okay if my entry is watermarked?
If you would like to watermark your entry for display in the Entries post, that's fine.
However, you should send us an unwatermarked copy, as well.

Will anyone be directly linking to my artwork?
Nope. We will save all entries to our own computers and host them ourselves.

May I do a collab with a friend and enter it?
Of course! Just make sure to include both names in the submission form and have a plan ready to divide up any prizes the entry may win.
