Ab Ovo is a simple concept to understand. It is but a new planet in a nearby galaxy, and hosts life much in the same way our earth does. Scientists of Earth named it Ab Ovo and it stuck, with both our lifeforms and those of the new planet. The inhabitants of Ab Ovo... are our creatures and beings of legend. Both real and mythological creatures live there, a lot of them capable of speech, but not all are capable of our languages. That barrier is one of many that causes the inhabitants of Ab Ovo distress.

The planet is divided into four factions. Welkin, Praxis, Detritus, and Shangri-la. Shangri-la is the faction where it is said that Xanadu is located, although it is a myth. The factions are at war with one another, and have been for centuries. The real reason to their fighting has been lost over the ages, so most think that it is simply a conquest for power over the planet.

Summaries of names below:
Ab Ovo: "The beginning." The planet who's inhabitants are many races, including humans, elves, dragons, demons and angels. It is old enough for a planet, having seen many disasters and wars.
Welkin: The "heaven" of Ab Ovo. The people that populate this portion of the world are mostly rich and/or powerful peoples. There are also many slaves and forced laborers that do not share in the heavenly qualities of this faction. Teleportation to and from Earth is located in its capital.
Detritus: Very minimally populated, its inhabitants are quite poor, but its lands are wealthy with beauty. There is no more beautiful place - visually - on Ab Ovo.
Praxis: The knowledgeable, scientifically advanced faction. There is no place on Ab Ovo or on Earth with the technological advances this faction claims.
Shangri-la: The imagined place. A haven of idyllic beauty, it is the place where defiant people find refuge from their native factions. Its own natives have been lost to the ages, according to Ab Ovo's historical recordings.
Xanadu: "a place of great beauty, luxury, and contentment." Legend, myth; a treasure lies beyond its borders, but will anyone ever find it?
Ne plus ultra: "the highest point, as of excellence or achievement. The acme; the pinnacle; the ultimate." It has literally become a place on Ab Ovo, as opposed to a common name. The place is inhabited by sky pirates, and is said to contain a hint to the whereabouts of Xanadu.

Ryu teh Ryu
Name: Evan Schwartz
Gender: Male
Race: Wolf Demon
Age: 16
Appearance: [SOUL, MIND, BODY]
History: Born in Praxis, Evan was never really opposed to other races like some from other factions were, and he really took to science like magnets and iron. His curiosity led him to study transmutation and magical arts, which got him into trouble, but allowed him a lot of freedoms. He eventually left Praxis to search for Xanadu, finding himself a new home in the sierras of Shangri-la, and the title of "sky pirate" - following in the steps of his father now past, who was famous for his pirating of the skies. He searches for Xanadu to seek the rewards the mythical place may offer, hoping to pillage and reap the place for what it is worth.
Faction: Praxis
Additional Info: Evan is learned in transmutation/alchemy and magical arts, the transmutation being of the biological type, and the magic being of a more arcane type - an alternative to biological changes, he can use this magic to alter space-time. It's very taxing, but it's still fun.

Name: Arcan Fierd
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Age: 27
Appearance: [DECEPTION]
History: Arcan keeps things simple - he hides the truth. He's a master of secrets and espionage, and has yet to be rivaled by anyone, particularly due to his gift. He hires out his work for a hefty price, and he has yet to disappoint his payees. All anyone knows about him is what they see; he has all the limbs of a normal person, his face is masked to remind him of his purpose, and his weapon is most often carried at his side. His past is a mystery to anyone but himself; he saw to it that he would have no one to bare witness to ever seeing him, thereby relieving him of all records - which he expunged himself. He is silent, observant. He watches, listens, and says nothing about it - unless to his employers. Unlike a true bounty hunter however, his purpose for killing is not purely moved by money, as he still has morals... and a rare amount of trust to bestow on those worthy of it.
Faction: Welkin
Additional Info: He has extrasensory capabilities; heightened hearing, sight, smell, touch. His sense of touch grants him quicker reflexes, whereas his sense of smell simply grants him grief. He may also have heightened taste buds, as no one has ever seen him eat or drink much save for completely natural, base foods and rice wine. Arcan is also quite flexible, able to hoist himself to high places in little time and with little effort. He attacks to kill.

Kawari Taizu
Name: Aeilita (Lita) Tseng
Race: Dragon
Age: Twenty two, in terms of human years.
Appearance: Dragon Human
History: Aeilita grew up in the more northern part of Detritus, on the large northeastern island off of its coast. Her flock, or so she liked to call the family of other dragons she was in, was a rather nomadic tribe that lived peacefully despite the warring countries.
When Lita was around nineteen human years, the mountain valley in which the flock was currently living in was attacked. It seemed that someone, no one was exactly sure of who it was at the time, wanted to mount a dragon head on their wall. This threw everyone into frenzy. Mothers carried their hatchlings into the sky. Hatchlings with no mothers were either killed or never seen again, and all others either fled to the forests or skies. Lita flew into the mountains, where she was nearly killed when a scouting group cornered her. She escaped with a clipped back right haunch and torn left wing.
Now, with nothing more to do but scour the country and look for things to do, Aeilita looks for someone to haggle every now and then, as it is her favorite thing to do.
Faction: From Detritus, but traveling.
Additional Info: Aeilita is a fireball behind those innocent eyes. Don’t take her for granted. Occasionally, when she goes back to a home she had claimed as her’s in a very remote part of Detritus, she will put her trinkets and things there. She also has a long staff with an old dragon skeleton’s teeth, going from longest to shortest, going from the top of the staff to about a fourth down.

YinWolf
Name: Koray Tuncay
Gender: Male
Race: Demon
Age: 22
Appearance: Koray is short barely standing 5'5''. He wears loose black cargo pants that are eternally dirty and has holes in the knees. He sewed on some strips of material to create a place to stick weapons. He wears a white t-shirt with a forest green vest lying on top. His vest has many pockets as well to keep small weapons and bullets for the one gun that he carries. He wears a pair of combat boots where he keeps a combat knife in his left boot and a hunting knife in his right boot. He carries a pair of hook swords on his back as well as, a butterfly knife, three throwing knives, a pocket knife, a Swiss Army knife, a switchblade, and a couple of shuriken in his various vest pockets. His Desert Eagle is set on his thigh in one of the attached strips for easy access. He has a pair of sai on his belt and a pocket watch in his right front pocket.
History: Koray ditched school in his sophomore to try to become a successful bounty hunter, with no such luck. After traveling Praxis for a couple of years, he is dirt poor and trying to keep out of debt. Unfortunately it is hard to by weapons that are not guns in Praxis so he is traveling to Xanadu to find a better life for himself.
Faction: Praxis
Additional Info: His occupation is that of a lowly bounty hunter. Currently he'll take any job if it means putting food in his stomach and a roof over his head. He keeps away from guns because of the price of bullets, but he isn't above stealing for the necessary equipment needed to take down his next hunt.

Werewolfgirl16
Name: Luna (Wolfie) Moon

Koneko Suya-Suya
Name: Salina "Sally" Skyes
Gender: Female
Race: Wolf Demon
Age: 19
Appearance: [Adventure!]
History: Sally was born in Ne Plus Ultra, but 3 years afterwards she moved to Praxis where her mother bore a son, Evan. Always adventurous and curious, Sally would play pirates and always had a plan to get her own ship to become a better pirate than her father, the legendary "Storm Chaser". At the age of 16, she bid her mother farewell and took to the skies with her brother to take on her father's title. Later, she changed her name from Schwartz to Skyes because she felt it was better suited to her destiny
Faction: Originally aligned with Praxis, she started to take to Shangri-la.
Additional Info: Unlike her brother, Evan, however, Sally doesn't have such a grip on magics. She knows some simple spells, her favorite being "arcane bullets" which she uses often.

Name: Rayna De Lione
Gender: Female
Race: Vampire
Age: Looks young, but is over 112 (she lost track after that)
Appearance: Mirage of Deceit
History: Long, long ago, the world was ravaged by war, just as it is now, and Rayna was in the middle of it. Her parents killed in cold blood by soldiers, and Rayna lay wounded in a broken building, but found by a wandering traveler. Unable to nurse her back to health due to the severity of her wounds and unable to see her die in his arms, he turned her.
Years later and the world was still plagued by war. Rayna lived peacefully in her new home with her new Father. He spoiled her and treated her as a child, but also taught her many things. And again, it was all taken away from her at the hands of soldiers.
Faction: Welkin
Additional Info: Rayna now lives in Welkin, and being a wise, old being, is often invited to many social gatherings and political meetings. She is manipulative and hides it well under a mask of child-like innocence, giving her great power.
At home, she has many flowers, but her favorite is a white rose whom she named "Escuro", after her second Father. She talks to it everyday, telling him about her night.

Name: Agariste
Gender: Female
Race: Dragon
Age: 21 human years.
Appearance: {Emerald Skies}
History: Agariste, daughter of Helicia and Amaranth, she grew up in the forests along the Shangri-la southern mountains with the Emerald dragon tribe. Her family built a temple housing most of the dragon tribe that sat along the mountains, back in the days of peace between the dragons and the humans. But, as the humans became threatened by the dragons, her home and family were swallowed by flames built upon hatred and fear. Now Agariste searches the earth for any signs of fellow dragons, hoping to be reunited with any of the Emerald tribe.
Faction: Shangri- La
Additional Info: the names Agariste, Helicia and Amaranth are all greek names. Helicia meaning sunshine, Amaranth meaning immortal and Agariste meaning best woman by far.

Ravyn_Striker
Name: Tsaeli Crake
Gender: Female
Race: human/android
Age: 23
Appearance: Tsaeli.
History: The daughter of a brilliant inventor, she has always been fascinated by machines. Even at a young age, Tsaeli was allowed to work in her father's workshop, until a tragic, unexplained accident claimed both her father's life and her arm up to the elbow of her left hand. Yet even that hasn't deterred her. She built a new arm, covered with synthetic skin so as not to startle anyone, along with a pair of wings for now can only carry her for short distances and set about looking for a way out of Praxis, though she hadn't really planned much ahead of that.
Faction: Praxis
Additional Info: Her skill with machines, particularly anything anything with an engine, is borderline uncanny. Her memory is such that she can take things apart and easily put them back together. Rare is the thing made of gears and metal that she cannot fix.

Josh the Lost Soul
Name: Tyranto
Gender: Male
Race: Dino Demon
Age: 28
Appearance: Tyranto has several forms. His neutral form, where he maintains his intelligence completely, has slightly above average strength, speed, and agility, is a six foot reptile, with lean muscle rippling under his grey and green hide. He has a long, square muzzle full of razor sharp fangs, and a long, flexible tail. In his second form, he bulks up, tripling his strength but reducing his speed and intelligence significantly as well. In his third form, his arms and legs lengthen, his snout grows to a point, and large wings grow from his arms and attach to his legs. His physical strength is severely reduced, but he becomes an excellent flying machine. His fourth form is a ten foot monster with tremendous strength, has flight capabilities, and can even breathe fire. Unfortunately, in this form, any injuries he recieves triple in severity when he shifts back to his neutral form.
History: Tyranto was a sky pirate since the moment he could slip into flight form. He comes from a long line of sky pirate demons, and his clan has long prayed on the airships passing over the equatorial region of Welkin. Tyranto left his clan when he decided he wanted to expand their range further over the world. He traveled (to wherever the other players are) to find a decent crew and a good-ship, or at least a ship he could join and eventually take over. Then he will return to his homeland, find a mate and a couple other males and females, and start up a new clan wherever he had established himself.
Faction: Welkin Dinoarico Clan
Additional Info: Tyranto is a good fighter, and a good man. He isn't above cheating, lying, and backstabbing, though. If you aren't much of a threat, he won't mess with ya. He might even be your friend. But if you are in command, then watch out...

Art Shudium
Name: Micah Eirhardt
Gender: Male
Race: Shadow Dragon
Age: Appears to be in his early twenties
Appearance: Human Dragon
Hybrid - Just combine the human form and the dragon form and there you go biggrin !
History: Micah woke up in a field of flowers, in a remote area of Detritus. He had no memory of how or why he had appeared in the field, but an aching feeling in his side (which sported a new, rather vicious scar) and mind told him that something traumatic had taken place. He promptly returned home... or where he thought home was to be, to find nothing there. No ruins, no bodies, nothing - as if his family and his home never existed. Confused and in pain, he began to travel the world, looking for answers to questions he could not even begin to ask. All he knew was that someone had taken his family, for whatever reason, and Micah needed to find out what.
Faction: Detritus
Additional Info: Micah can shift between four phases, three of which can be done by will, one by uncontrolled circumstance:

Normal - Micah is in his basic human form, no special features beside self trained physical ability

Dragon - Micah takes the form of a black dragon. His strength, awareness, speed (in flight), and endurance greatly increases. However, he loses grip on judgement and acts solely on his instincts.

Dragon Shadow - In this form, Micah retains his human appearance, but produces a greater amount of adrenaline. He has a heightened sense of smell, faster movement speed and reaction, slightly buffered strength and is able to travel through the air via short glide bursts created from shadow replicas of his wings that fade in and out of view in intervals. A mark appears on his back in this form.

Hybrid - The only form Micah can not call forth via will, this is his strongest of the four. Once a massive amount of adrenaline has been released, Micah's body becomes a darker shade as though a shadow is constantly cast over him, although he retains his human appearance. His eyes become an emerald green and emit an unnatural glow, however, the biggest appearance change is his right arm takes the shape of his dragon form and his wings & tail are fully extended. To keep from damaging himself with his own energy, his body emits it through his pores, making a 2 foot parameter of excessive pressure on the approaching object. The pressure can also be redirected in a single direction, creating an almost propelling force that greatly enhances Micah's mobility. The longer Micah holds this form, the stronger it gets until it hits a peak (which is designated by signs of energy sparks about his body), before flatlining and becoming greatly unstable - a danger to his body and life. The only noted way of this form ending is through:
Lack of adrenaline release (calming)
Flatlining
Immobilized (Unconsciousness)
and of course, Death.

Mort Faux
Name: Marl Halson
Gender: Female
Race: Fellpool
Age: 22
Appearance: [-x-]
History: Born a scientific prodigy to the unlucky state of Detritus, Marl Spent her early life learning what she could both about technology, and how to stay alive. It soon became obvious that, while her home state was beautiful, it offered her little, not even a plausible way to leave it. As such, she began to build a skiff to take her away, but as funds dwindled, so did her dreams. Now, she runs with a local group of would be pirates trying to make their way to Ne Plus Ultra, though they know nothing of her ulterior motives to leave them behind.
Faction: Detritus
Additional Info: Being of the Fellpool race, Marl appears very human like with the exception of a long, thin, catlike tail, which is often more expressive than Marl herself. Also while it is mostly incomplete, she owns the sky skiff Akantor, simply waiting to be able to fly away with it.

Trey Alvari
Name: Kai Alvari
Gender: Male
Race: Lightning Elemental
Age: Looks 19, but in fact quite old.
Appearance: Apearance When using elemental power he retains human form. Rather than the long sword the image shows he prefers a simple katana about 40 inches in length that he wears on his waist.
History: He was a leading researcher for the Praxian Military Academy specializing in research and development for advanced weaponry. His 30 year career there came to an abrupt end 5 years ago when a research center and neighboring town was destroyed during an experiment which he was running. As one of only a few survivor and the only one in any condition to speak he was quickly brought in for questioning. Afterwards the blame was placed on him and he was incarcerated for life. 3 years later he quietly escaped under mysterious circumstances. Praxis quickly labeled him a dangerous felon and put a large bounty on his head. Since then he has left Praxis behind and wanders from city to city, usually leaving chaos in his wake.
Faction: Praxis
Additional Info: He currently resides in Pandera as a gunsmith. He has lived there for only a couple of months but rumors of his presence have begun to spread. It won't be long before someone comes after him

Recite the incantation... Holding his hands one over the other, Evan points his flat palms at a small tulip-like flower. A moment passes, him staring blankly at the flower, but not saying anything. Following the silence, which lasts about half a minute, he leaves his stance, turning abruptly to read from a large text at his side. He uses his left forefinger to scan the page for his spell, and upon reaching the base of the book, he returns to the top of the next page. "There... is no incantation." After another moment's pause, he raises his left arm to the sky, his right following about the height of his torso. "HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO PERFORM THE ALCHEMY WITHOUT THE INCANTATION?!"

Dropping the attempt at transmuting the plant, Evan made his way to the cabin of his airship, hovering so quaintly above the planet's surface that no ordinary inhabitant would think of it as dangerous. His ship was quite a magnificent work of beauty, running on all forms of steam power, chemistry, and aerodynamics. The base was vast enough that it would create a steady resistance to falling, but it was narrow from its nose to its tail, so as to be speedy in flight. Oddly enough however, it also bends to separate the ship into thirds, perhaps to enable it evasive maneuvers granted by no other design of airship. Certainly its methods of thrust would support this design, as it really hasn't been tried by other vehicles... anywhere.

"Nice flight old girl!" He patted the ship's bow before entering the captain's quarters, his large book in one hand. Within, he expected to see no one, and planed to only return the book to its place on a bookshelf, neighboring other related texts. The door was heavy, and therefore difficult to force open. Its hinges creaked and the base scraped against the floor, but the sound that emitted was not one of fingernails on a chalkboard. The door seemed to sing open, and added one more element to the oddities the ship contained.

...and a sound body.
Koray quietly walked through a desolate town eyes peeled for his pray. He has his hook swords in hand ready to strike if his mark jumps out. He creeps low to the ground, trying to hear any disturbances in the empty charred remains of a once vibrant Praxis city. His newest bounty is a lowly bandit with a price so high that Koray may be able to get some food into his stomach along with the many supplies that he needs to buy.

Suddenly there was a crash in a dark, burned down bar to Koray's right and the bandit cam careening out. "I was wondering who was following me...when did you start tailing me, back in Nikkeru?" The bandit questioned as he towered over Koray with his 6' 10" heavy weight frame. Koray smirked as he readied his swords and moved into a defensive position so as to not be easily shoved aside by the monstrosity and said, "Nah I've been tailing you since Douzan. The only reason you realized it now is because I've been trying to draw you out in a relatively empty area. Lucky me you led us right to your grave." The bandit scowled before going into the offensive and easily kicked Koray to the side and into a charred town house. "You're pretty small and pathetic for a bounty hunter. The way I see it is that I led you to your grave," The bandit laughed as he cockily walked over to the rubble that he assumes Koray is still under.

Without further preamble the giant beast of a man struck his hand into the pile of rubble expecting to hit bone, but was answered with the dull thud of hitting dirt. Before he could thing on the matter, Koray jumped out of a nearby building and right onto the man's back. Having put his swords away when he snuk out of the rubble, Koray grabbed his sai and quickly put them to the giant man's throat in a silent threat. "Now you can come quietly or I can end your life here and now with a lovely trophy to take to the authorities," Koray sneered into the bandit's ear while tightening his grip on the man's neck so that blood began to trickle out of a small cut. In anger the large man attempted to throw Koray off his back, but only served to send a sai into his esophagus and clipping his artery. With a shake of his head, Koray brought the man down onto his back and preceded to behead him with one of his two hook swords.

After finishing his job, Koray walked over to the edge of the town where a river was flowing past the carnage. Carefully, Koray washed his swords and sai and proceeded to stick the bandit's head into a sak and put some spells on the sack in order to keep the smell contained in the bag and the head from rotting. When he finished his tasks, Koray began his trek to the close by village of Yakin to collect his reward.

Luna walk around her village running a hand through her hair glaring at anyone who walks by her. Mostly now no-one ever dares come out when she is out. She had scared the villagers with her screams of pain from her nightmares. As luna was walking she noticed some people staring out there windows and she glared at them, she felt her eyes change to a blood-ish color and they quickly closed there blinds and she continue walking down the road slowly.

When will something exciting happen to my totally boring life? She thought to herself walking in her home.

My work is swift you feel no pain,
_________You won't understand.

Arcan stalked his prey from the shadows of the little houses in this village, home to a demon, he was told. The villagers, wanting no part of her in their village anymore, commissioned Arcan to either chase her out or kill her. As it currently stood, he meant to drive her out so as to collect more bounty when she returned, but if she proved a worthy adversary, he might have to kill her outright.

With a light but strong bound, Arcan hopped up onto a building, primarily to stay out of view. He didn't much care if the locals were distressed by his presence; quite frankly, they were distressed already, so what's a little harm in more? What he didn't want was to be seen at all by his target. There was a time and a place for the battle that would ensue between them, and he preferred it be at night, or at least farther from the village.

The roof whined underneath his weight, giving him no time to think of another move. He leapt off the roof like a frog, on the opposite side of where his victim walked. With any luck, he hoped he could lead her away from the village, or if she did not come to investigate the noise, he would simply return to being unseen. Being a shadow was something of a habit for him, since his expertise lay in killing without warning.

What seemed like the silhouette of a large bird coasted over a forested region in which her next destination, a small town, resided. But, this was not, in fact, a bird, but a dragon, and a female one at that. Opening her giant maw, she gulped in a fresh breath of air, feeling the coolness flow down her larynx and fill the pockets of air in her belly that helped her in flying at such great heights. The height was great for hiding from grounded dragon hunters or assassins (yes, she admits to have stolen a few...valuables. Every dragon has their horde!) in that she looked to be some sort of avian.

Scenting smoke, and seeing its billowing clouds nearby on the ground, Aeilita began to descend, as this was her destination. A throaty churr made its way out of her throat before she angled her wings and swooped down below, her wings then folding in to take the steep dive needed to avoid slow-sighted people. Suddenly, a quick wind hit her full force and knocked her back up into the air and closer to the village. Aeilita panicked and looked around. She had to change back. She was too close and couldn't get out of the current. Thinking quickly, her human form seemed to peel away from the dragon's belly, the wings still remaining to keep her aloft for a little bit longer. The feather crest going down her back slithered on her skin and took the form of her clothes. Finally, now above a building, Lita retracted her wings and fell to the ground with a thud.

But, of course, she couldn't land on the ground safely. She just had to land on someone.

Groaning and growling, Lita pulled back the cloak that had formed from the wings and rubbed her eyes. She murmured a soft stream of curses before realizing that she was on somebody. Letting out a startled yelp-like noise, Aeilita jumped up and stumbled backwards, pulling the hood back over her head and taking her scythe into her hands, facing a tall, dark clad man with dark, gray-brown hair and a mean look on his face. "And who are you and what are you doing..uh...here?" She interrogated, although it probably looked extremely strange. Oh well!

All of this hate
And all of this pain
I'll burn it all down
As my anger reigns

Til everything burns
Koray entered the town and immediately knew something was off since the normal bustling crowd appeared subdued. Koray ignored the strange phenomenon and maneuvered his way through the various people in the street in order to reach his destination, the town's sheriff. He made his way past a young blond girl who seemed oddly quiet during such a peaceful day. Koray shrugged before he spotted the sheriff's quarters and hurried into the small building.

"Hey is the sheriff around?" Koray asked a olive skinned man who sat with his boots on the desk right next to the door.

"I'm the Sheriff...now what do you want," the sheriff asked wearily as he stood to his full height.

"Do you take bounties?" Koray asked, ignoring the sheriff's question for the time being.

"Yeah...and why would a little guy like you want to know that," the sheriff asked in annoyance before he took notice of Koray's sack.

"Well I'd like to cash in my reward for the arsonist, The Houka Bandit," Koray replied, ignoring the sheriff's mocking tone, as he opened the sack and pulled out the giant's head. The sheriff cringed at the sight of the former arsonist's head being pulled out of the strange sack.

"Get that thing out of my sight," he said in disgust, while Koray put the head back into the sack.

"So where's my reward," Koray asked in anticipation as he thought of the supplies and food he could buy with this reward.

"Here's your pay...now get out of my sight," the sheriff said before turning his back on Koray.

Koray left the building after pocketing most of his money leaving enough in his hand to buy food to nourish his tired body. Koray surveyed the nice town before heading to the more crowded streets of the town's marketplace and looking for a vendor.

My work is swift you feel no pain,
_________You won't understand.

An unusual whirring sound interrupted his plotting, and though his ears could pick up on the sound, it wasn't until too late that Arcan determined the location of the sound's origin - a sharp-looking girl with dark hair and warmly colored clothes, which so nicely collided with him from above and started questioning him. He paused for a short second to contemplate questioning her himself, since it was her intrusion upon him, and not the other way around. Not wanting to waste any time or be found or identified, he glared at the girl and made a run for the trees which bordered the outer reaches of the small village. He passed a few plots of wheat and vegetables on his way, being careful not to trod on the smaller plants.

Once in the wood, he fled a little deeper, completely abandoning the demon for the time being. He wasn't sure if he would be followed into the forest, so naturally, he leaped out of view, high into the trees. His leaps and bounds were almost like that of a monkey, if he wasn't so infamous for killing from above. Or... killing with any means, really. How frustrating... I don't know what that was, because I know it wasn't any ordinary girl... but it really threw me off. This venture is starting to become unworthy of my time.

My blade is sharp your thorax's mine,
Your heart is in my hand
This stopwatch heart
houses a wandering soul

User Image User ImageWhere, exactly had she ended up? Tsaeli couldn't say as she wandered down the quiet main street. The captain of the airship that had brought her here had given her free passage in exchange for solving some problems with their engine. But she couldn't remember if he'd ever said the name of the place. She'd just gotten off, not the wisest course of action, but she had money and her skills, she could get passage out as easily as she'd gotten in. Right?
"Food first," she muttered to herself. "Then make your plan and stick to it. Wandering's all very well and good until you get lost." And there she went, talking to herself again. Her father had always laughed at her for her mutterings, if she wasn't addressing herself, she was addressing the machine she was working on, whose only replies were often a rattle, hiss of steam or the occasional spurt of oil. Tsaeli adjusted the straps of her armature, absently checking the straps that ensured the wings stayed closed while she looked around the town. The street was almost empty, which gave it a lonely, almost depressed air. Yet it was large enough to have the occasional airship drop by, so it must not be doing too badly. So where was everyone?
The smell of food blew on the wind, sending her stomach into roars of protest. Tsaeli patted it with a sigh and followed the scent to a market square a few streets over. Here, at least, there were people, the air filled with the sounds of vendors and chatting. She wormed her way through the crowd, making sure her wings were tucked in close to her body so as not to inadvertently take out someone's eye or damage the regrettably rather delicate apparatus. To her right was a stall selling meat pies, and it was here that she stopped, fishing out her purse from a strap around her neck. A little while later she had one in her good hand, and another wrapped up and tucked into her pack for later. She bit into the warm, flaky crust with a sigh, content to walk and watch the crowd float around her.

But the sky is her road
And the clouds are her home
A heart that doesn't beat
is a terrible load
