Lobo the Gray Wolf is an adorable, appealing companion item, but as the first wolf CI super-rare, the variety of gaian wolves coat color, well known in the real world as quite diverse, is a little lacking. Indeed, there was a lot of unrest when Lobo the Grey Wolf came out. It's banner sprite appeared black, but when it was finally found it was a middling gray. I suggest that, eventually, additional colors/versions of this item be released. To me, the most logical colors would be red, white, and black, which, with gray, would cover most possible wolf colors nicely.
The black variety is colored to resemble the banner Lobo, but with more amber eyes. It's name suggestions come from one common name for the Grey Wolf, "timber wolf" and the french phrase "loup-garou", meaning werewolf. The white's name suggestions come from Lobo's language of origin and the other half of the french "loup-garou", where Lupe is a Spanish name also coming from "wolf", and Luz a Spanish name meaning "light". The last, the red wolf, is colored to resemble the Red Wolf (Canus Lupus Rufus), and it's name is the French word for "red".
I realize the chance that we'll get even one re-color is like a Pora Ice's chance in Hell Prison, but I can hope!
These are quick re-colors I did of the "I am" pose of Lobo the Wolf. Credit where credit is due.

Black: - Garou/Timber - Red: - Rouge - White: - Lupe/Luz -
UPDATE: July 07, 2011 - The black recolor (Nochi the Black wolf) was released in the Double Rainbow RIG, Rejoice!
UPDATE: December 19, 2011 - The white recolor, (Siku the White Wolf) was released as a exclusive prize in the 2011 Superprize!
