Hay gais! I'm keeping Maxx company, but where he wants the practice in general, I need the practice because all I ever draw outside of B/C stuff is the same one subject.
To reiterate, Maxx wanted to do a x-number-of-days sketchy Challenge, and I said I'd do it with him provided I can just do scribbly scrawls that don't take long,
and we ended up deciding this would be better than a theme challenge for us
'cause I'd just keep drawing that one same subject for all the themes.
I am horribly lazy and my sketches are very sketchy, so these are not things to pop in your sig, just to stick on your virtual fridge and laugh at.
TAKING 5 NAMES FOR FREE SCRIBBLY-SKETCHES HERE
I'm taking 5 each at HyTech, Phony, C*cktail, & Matope - it doesn't matter where you grab your slot.
What you'll get:
You do
not get a choice of type, but I'll be doing:
- Mostly
head/bust, rarely scribbled bodies, hands are usually
unfinished scrawls
- Probably in a
cartoonier style because I just like doodling like that don't shoot me
- Mostly in a scribbled mass of blue lead, sometimes red, but I may colourise the lines
- I may run scribbly pencil over the scribbled blue mass but it won't look any better
- Very rarely I may have to ink a pic because it got too illegible, but that's the luck of the draw
- NO MATTER WHAT,
IT WON'T BE COLOURED. THESE ARE JUST SCRIBBLED SKETCHES
This is
the last sketch I did - but I probably won't be doing bodies, mostly.
What you can do:
- First-come-first-served - each person can only claim ONE slot on either Maxx or mine's list, not both*
- QUOTE** me and give me ONE subject with ref pic(s) & ONE expression keyword (so I don't draw something too OOC)
- I'd prefer the subject to be your
pet, but if you're collecting OC art, as long as it's
simple, with refs, it's fine.
- Everything will be
humanoid, Phonies/kimeti will be converted - if you have a humanoid ref, gimme, or I'll loosely interpret
- If I find something too complicated to scribble quickly, I'll be simplifying it, so if you find your pet unrecognisable...8D;;
- If you missed this in whichever thread and actually desire a slot, you can probably wander over to C*cktail
(I don't think there're enough people in there to fill up 10 between the two of us who aren't already in HyTech and/or Phony.)
What will happen:
- Sometime during the month I will do this sketch (Picking off the list at will, not in sign-up order)
- And then at some other time I will actually get off my a** and scan/process it *shot*
- Whereupon I will quote you and drop it off in the relevant thread
- And maybe if it was fun we'll do it again a month or two later
- We'll see.
I would really really hate to disappoint you with what I give you, but I'm really just scribbling doodles and will NOT redo anything, so please just, uh, expect stickmen!*** 8D;;
(And if there's something a depiction really NEEDs, like 'he MUST have that scar on the RIGHT side of his forehead', please specify things right off before it's too late.)
*I do realise that there are technically 40 slots in total and I seriously doubt there are 40 people interested in our scribbling,
so if interest drops to the point where even Chatterbox druggies aren't taking us up, then, yes, you may claim slots on both lists.
**I may not be backreading, so if I don't get notified of your quote, I'm sorry but it probably won't go into the list. To ensure you quote me correctly,
it's probably easiest to directly quote from my post. Otherwise, do remember to surround my username with ", and if the quote is messed up the
first time, delete the post and quote me in a new one. As far as I know, those are the two most common reasons quotes never make it to Notifications.
